Shame that these two werent around at the same time in the same weight class.

on paper 3 years ago, the only style to beat floyd was pressure, floyd proved that wrong. now you have to be tall with a good jab

id imagine he beats forrest after losing the first 4 rounds.

trouble with forrest was his prime was very short, no sooner had he beaten mosley, than he would get kayoed then outpointed off mayorga.

the sad reality is well never KNOW but i would expect floyd to win on points.

Didn't Forrest get career changing surgery done on him before he lost to Mayorga?

perhaps so, whatever the reasons, his prime was really short, especially considering his p4p potential

Didn't he have rotor cuff problems? Two or three Operations? The guy was a great fighter held back by people ducking him and Duva trying to fight the guys above him in the rating for chump change.

Floyd won't fight a former 106 lb natural warrior. No way he fights a career 154 lb natural warrior. But, should he find the balls to fight Vernon or Pacquiao, he is intelligent enough yo give both of these fighters migraines. Eventually defeating both IMO.

as much as his haters say otherwise , floyd would have figured forrest out, then beaten him.....

floyds allways gonna loose in these hypothetical matchups cause people hate him so much

How will we ever find out ? the guy waits until they are old or off mentally (corrales) .He just doesn't step up. Jr Is depending on time to hide the fact that he refused to take the tough fights. LIke it or not they are the facts.

:admin I dont even know were to start here :huh first off Mayweather WONT win easy against a prime Forrest man come on now. Secound when Ike and Forrest fought neither of them were at there best or prime. Third i would pick both of them to beat Mayweather at 147 in thier prime. Fourth who the hell has May beaten at this weight that makes you say such thing ? small fat featherweight Marquez ? or grandpa Mosley the guy who got out box by Cotto??? and also almost by an older fighter in Maygora?????

Grandpa Mosley. Wow just wow.

Forrest lost to Mayorga and had a close run in with Ike Quartey. Neither one was no where near the skill level, speed or intelligence of Mayweather.

Mayweather has proven he can nuetralize even the best jab in boxing, Oscars, and proven that he can fight on the inside on numerous occasions. Ike Quartey's defensive abilities gave Forrest fits, Mayweather is more nimble and a better counter puncher.

Who has Forrest beaten that makes you think he could beat this version of Mayweather? Besides Mosley, there is not one high profile scalp on his resume.

Just the fact you pick Ike Quartey to beat Mayweather is unbelievable nonsense. Verno Phillips beats Mayweather too lol.

Hey man make a thread about a prime IKE against May but not here make it in the classic forum and lets see who has the last laugh. btw your a well know May fan so i wont even bother or waste my time I'm out. :hi:

He was alot closer to prime Mosley considering he had just beaten the so-called best welterweight. Mayweather completely dominated him.
Heard it many a time, and it doesnt matter with Mayweather because he has no stylistic disadvantages to any fighter. He's beaten every type of fighter there is. Pressure fighters, boxers, jabbers, knockout artists ect.

However we know that Forrest was weak mentally.
Yeah like how he faded against Ike Quartey and Vargas. Oh wait. DLH faded because Floyd made him fade. When you are missing 80% of the punches you throw throughout the fight, you are going to fade.

Never said Oscar was the same style as forrest, but he did have a great jab, and Floyd took it away down the stretch(and dont say he stopped throwing, 77 in the final 3 rounds. a myth created by goldenboys) so why wouldnt Floyd be able to take away forrest jab? Hell we know Forrest doesnt like pressure, and Floyd has shown he can come forward as one of the best pressure fighters in the game.

Btw, the Floyd that fought Oscar is nowhere near as good as the one that fought Mosley. Mayweather is a big strong natural welter right now. The one that fought Oscar was bloated and still able to get down to as low as 140.

Who has Ike Quartey beaten on the level of fighters Floyd Mayweather has beaten? Even at Welter?

    Its a nonsense statement.

Verno Phillips barely dropped a decision to Quartey. By like 1 or 2 points. If Quartey beats Mayweather, then in your opinion Philips should as well.

That's what im saying. The current Floyd would beat Forrest imo but back in 07 when he was still ad******g to the weight, he would have lost to a prime Forrest.
