Actually yes, a crude swinger with power and a great chin is all he was. Mayweather would outbox him easier than Spinks did.
I love Vernon Forrest and wish he was still with us and fighting. That said this would be an intresting matchup, a fight i would pay to see. Mayweather is a master defense fighter and Forrest had a great jab, so it would be intresting.
When Forrest was prime he was very under rated. I think it would be the hardest style match up Floyd has faced. It's too close for me to call.
Uneducated off base post. How does one time a "off mentally" Corrales correctly? Was Corrales back on mentally when he fought Castillo? Your trying too hard to discount Floyd's resume and coming off like a fool. Try posting on topic next time. Back to your bridge troll.
What when he was being KOd by Mayorga or even outpointed by Mayorga who was a limited fighter. Thought it would be too close for you to call Robert, you just sit on the fence, and not put forward any points. Sounds like you all over Maywheather, too skilled for Forrest. Forrest has a good win over Mosely who is a proud fighter and willing to take on all comers, but after Moselys first win over De La Hoya, and win over Margarito (whos career is now clouded) look at his win resume and you will see it is not quite what people believe it is, thats not to say hes not a good fighter. Maywheather may have a bit of problems with Forrests height and jab, but would then start to find the gaps to win a clear decision
Vernon would always provide a problem for Floyd because of his physical attributes, power, chin, and boxing intellect. If vernon caught Floyd it would be lights out, not knees buckling and holding on for dear life.
Well I'm glad you have have all the answers about an imaginary fight that will never happen. As for calling the fight close that's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. Forrest was wrecked by the time Mayorga stretched him and from the time of that loss till his unfortunate death he fought stiff legged(no legs, IE shot fighter) and with wrecked shoulders. This last part of his career is poor indicator of what he was truly capable of. Had Mayweather fought a prime Forrest he would be facing a combination speed, length, size, and skill he has never faced. Now either grow up or go start some more deluded bull**** threads about crap fighters no one here cares about. As for calling me out in threads have at it. I could care less what a brain dead **** like you thinks about any topic.
