Bizarre. That quote suits you very well! You know, you don't have to come on every Bute thread. Take a break! You'll feel fine... and you won't be the only one.
Meh, I'm lazy today, I'll just use one of my recent posts... BTW this thread about both Ward & Bute fighting Bika, with some -I thought- objective conclusions drawn at the end bearing in mind the styles-make-fights variable I quoted in the beginning, is more of a H2H comparison vs resume love/hate fest. Resumes don't fight. Seriously. Good baseline, and I respect all of Froch/Ward/Bute's achievements, but here you really gotta focus on how they'd do in the ring together -- not on how they've done against other styles/fighters. Didn't want to do this thread on ****in Miranda, he didn't go the distance with Bute so less material to compare. Whatever, here you go, I think you qualify for this end of the spectrum...... Why don't you quote the **** out of me to show all this nuthugging you're referring to? I asked fatcity about 3-4 times to quote my blatant nuthugging, but he can't find ****. Bring up something other than feathered accusations. :good
Thanks for linking to this from another thread Drozzy. Nice breakdown. I'd like to comment a bit on Ward. I don't buy the general consensus among his fanboys that he 'adapts well'. Had Ward had the ability to adapt, the Bika fight was the fight to do it. Calzaghe and Bute showed how to beat this rough costumer, but Ward fought the same way as he did against Kessler and Green; going on the inside and rough him up. That, IMO, gave Ward more trouble than necessary.
You're right. Against Green, he could have found many other ways to win. He chose to stick to the borest one. That may be his actual style. He's excellent at it though and anyone who wants to beat him must solve his inside fighting.
I noticed a few times where froch shook AA with body shots, definitely defused Arthur's late round charge to some degree. I think AA will find ward hard to hit and the pace of the fight will be too much for him.
You can fight AA inside or outside, inside Ward will smoother his power shots, outside AA is too short armed to counter.
For the love of me I can't understand why someone who claims to be a Battling Nelson fan is getting after another fighter for being dirty, and headbutts of all things. Absolutely wild.
Exactly what i think, Ward is very capable at managing distance; he'll use his speed to stay either out or in; he won't stay in Abraham's confort zone, that mid-range area in which he can land those KO punches.
