Since the PBC began its had nothing but great fights on network television. Today Guerrero got pushed to the limit in a tough fight. Meanwhile on HBO Cotto wins a mismatch farce over Geale. HBO commentators sounded ridiculous once again, they literally had nothing to say so being up Mayweather, Pac, and .....Shane Mosley
Wait, you're dumb. The Guerrero fight was SUPPOSED to be a mismatch. People were just overrating the hell out of Guerrero. It's funny how it's unintentional that Haymon's fighters are getting exposed, and people think Haymon is intending this to happen. If Haymon had his way, every fight would've been Garcia/Salka. It's completely stupid to overlook this. Darchinyan was way past prime and Aron Martinez hadn't fought in 14 months (last fight was a loss to Lopez). Cotto, on the otherhand, demolishes a game Daniel Geale who people thought would win or make him struggle. Screw the Vegas bookies. A lot of people on here thought Geale would either win or make Cotto look bad. To be honest, I'd rewatch Cotto's match twice. It was a beauty of a boxing lesson Cotto put on display.
Cotto, Golovkin, Alvarez is pretty much all they got at this point. I doubt Pacquiao will continue to be a PPV star, if so I doubt he ever does more than 300,000 buys again
You're forgetting Kovalev. ...And Cotto/Alvarez should completely **** Mayweather/Khan if they go head-to-head. Haymon takes losses if that happens. To add, did you see the empty stadium in the Guerrero fight? COmpare that to Cotto who had that place packed.
Wasn't nothing Game about Daniel Geale and Guerrero, coming off a loss to Thurman, had questions and concerns about how he'd do coming back this soon
What, did you listen to the PBC commentary who know sh!t? Guerrero looked like sh!t since he started at welterweight. He went life and death with Kamegai who was coming off a completely one-sided loss to Johan Perez before the Thurman fight. Guerrero was always an average fighter. He gets overrated because he fought Mayweather. Haymon is actually pulling his hair in his office while people are thinking "he's putting on good fights." It's f*cking hilarious actually.
So you saying the Guerrero-Martinez fight wasnt good? It certainly appeared to be a good fight to anyone who saw it. And like I said before, most of the PBC fights have been very good, are you trying to deny that?
No, it was supposed to be a complete mismatch. It came out like that because Guerrero is so average, not because of Haymon's incredible match-making. As I said, Haymon is ripping out his hair because his top guys are looking like sh!t and people are thinking it was intentional. Arreola, Cuellar, Guerrero, etc. were supposed to steam-roll their poor opposition. If you want to compare it to Cotto/Geale, I thought Guerrero/Martinez was boring. Martinez was just mauling Guerrero the first 5 or 6 rounds. He proceeds to gas and then the fight becomes extremely dull.
No, Geale has fought some good fighters at middleweight: Sturm, Barker, Adama, and Golovkin. Other than Mayweather and unproven Thurman, Guerrero hasn't fought anyone at welterweight. Let me guess, you hold Birdo as elite? :nut I'm putting it nicely when I say Guerrero is average. I just don't want to completely sh!t on a fighter, but Guerrero isn't anywhere near elite at welterweight.
HAHAH! I like the way you put it. :rofl at Code Red trying to up Guerrero, but I completely b!tchslapped him into oblivion.
The only reason that people thought that Geale would give Cotto problems is because of his size and not his skills. When his size didn't come into play then the gap in skills was evident. As for Guerrero, I think that he is a B+ fighter and comes to fight in all his outings. However, regardless of the competition, for the casual fan both fights were good fights and is a plus for boxing.
