    I agree witht his strongly.

    Take Amsterdam, if Pavlik beats Taylor, he's of for SEVEN MONTHS. Whatever you think of the guy personally, acknowledge that he has knowledge and creates action and would be missed.

    More of that type of thing we can do without.

    No, if Taylor beats Pavlik, I am picking Pavlik to destroy that disgrace and he will do so, then it's bye bye Blockhead for 6 months, hello to Calzaghe avatar and signature for Psychopath, bye bye to Illmatic for a month and whoever else bet against me that is going to get roasted for being a Taylor apologising peasant.

    Too bad 'Lance Uppercut' and 'NervousXtian', the Calzaghe denying/Taylor apologising/Circle jerker boosting duo didn't bet against me, but you see my good man Sir McGrain, they simply know better, because my prediction record is phenominal.

    Mine isn't bad either, although I did pick Limond to beat Khan :lol:

    Here's the thing - when two elite fighters meet there is always - always - at least a small chance for the underdog, always. Otherwise we wouldn't have had such massive upsets down the years.

    Not to mention the fact that Pavlik could sprain his knee in round 2.

    Here is the thing, Hatton is not 'elite' at 147, he is elite at 140. This is significant.

    Mayweather is fully developed at 147, very very strong and built for the weight now and punches like a welterweight while retainined 135 speed or near to it.

    Pavlik knocks that ****ing disgrace into next year, end of story.

    This is accurate I think. Accordin to Graham, Hatton will come in at around 144/143 for this fight with a view to retaining speed. I expect Hatton to be the stronget of the two regardless.

    It's a conundrum for his people, i'll admit. I too think that Mayweather will win. But I feel if Hatton abandons certain shots and can fight for 3mins of each round and takes the attitude that he cannot win on points he has a chance. He's a live underdog and a good pressure fighter and, crucially, he's in there with another guy who is new to the weight and not natural at the weight.

    To win he would need to lucky and fight the fight of his life, but Hatton is a ****ing handful for anyone.

    I agree with this.

    I favour Pavlik and I think you'e made me understand your reasons for disliking Taylor, but I wish you wouldn't label him in this way. I think it's a shame. Taylor is a good fighter. If you feel he is "disgraceful" for having overachieved with corporate help (your angle, not mine) I would advise you to be more mindful of the man.

    In regards to Hatton - Mayweather -

    2 things. Hatton is not the stronger, Mayweather was able to stand in the pocket against Hoya and deal with him physically close up at times, Hoya is easily twice as strong as Hatton.

    Mayweather is much stronger than Hatton. Hatton will get eaten alive trying to pressure and rough house, Mayweather has the worst style for him to do his number against, it's simply an easy stoppage win for Mayweather.

    2nd, Hatton is not a 'handful for anyone', at 147, he's not even a factor.

    In regards to Taylor -

    You misunderstand, I ****ing despise him as a person as much a fighter, there is nothing admirable about this ****.

    I disagree with this in the "all in" sense. I think Hatton will dominate close. I think it will be more a case of he doesn't get any meaningful work done close in and often enough. But we will see.


    Well, he fought there twice, both times for world titles and both times he won. Urango and Collazo both extended him and you may even have feelings about the Collazo decision, but both had their hands full - how can there be any other interpretation of those fights?

    I find it hard to disrespect anyone who puts it on the line at championship level to this degree and i'm surprised that you do.

    I can't believe I'm agreeing with a ****ing Aussie but MSTR is right, it's not within the best interests of anyone to leave for any length of time. Firstly, if I had a time off bet with DanePug about Calz-Kess, I wouldn't be able to gloat and rub his nose in it. Secondly, it's a coward's way out of being wrong. Stand up and take it like a man!

    Anyway, I'm off to book my holiday for November 4th.
