I know this may sound silly. But if you could meet and ask any boxer alive today, any serious question.. What would it be and why? I would love to meet Muhammad Ali but I wouldnt know what to say to him..
I would ask PBF if he loved boxing so much then why doesn't he help the sport by fighting the elite. And dont give me this PBF-hater bull****. Look at his lst 2 fights for example. He fought an over the hill DLH, who btw had only fought once Mayorga) in 2 and half years since losing to Hopkins...not to mention he was more worried about promoting the fight rather than fighting the fight. His other fight came against Ricky Hatton...who is a good fighter but was in over his head for this fight. Ricky had only one showing at welterweight and put up a mediocre performance to beat a Collazo...a guy who isnt within the top 7 of the welterweight division. We all know Ricky's weight should be at 140 and he can not beat the elite at 147. The thing with Mayweather and their camp is that THEY ARE VERY VERY SMART when it comes to the sport and business of boxing. You see...casual fans look at Mayweather knocking out an undefeated Hatton and think "Damn...nobody is going to touch this guy." The real fans, and hopefully most of you here on ESB can see this, know that Mayweather and his camp are just very smart with matchmaking. They see threats and do well to avoid them while facing good fighters who doesnt have much of a chance to beat him because they are rusty, too small, etc. The welterweight division is the best in boxing with great talent...he shouldnt have to bring people up in weight or fight older men while there are the likes of Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, etc. in the division. BTW I dont hate PBF...he is at the top of my P4P list as well.
I'd ask Andrew Golota what the **** he was thinking, throwing away TWO championships when he had Bowe beat.
I would ask DLH to tell me what really happened last three rounds against Trinidad. Time of the fight I thought he threw it because not then or now have I ever seen a fighter in a championship unification bout just stop fighting altogether when he had his opponent beat. A part of me has always thought he threw the fight thinking a rematch would bring in more money. There are many fighters I would like to meet but I would probably just guffaw at the fact I was talking to them, being more interested in getting one of those cheesy pictures with the fighter of him lifting fist to my jaw. This is the only question that comes to mind.
