99% possible, the problem is floyd didn't have your confidence.

........Floyd destroys Cotto on the inside:rofl:nut the only thing floyd is destroying is his rep or whats left of it as he'll never fight an elite fighter who's on his game:deal

So yer recken 5 years of this makes Floyd der man eh.....

Gatti/Mitchell/Judah/Baldomir/DLH/Hatton/JJM/Mosley...a fine selection of Blown up/Washed up/WBU/IBO title holders or aged faded opponants & truly worthy of the most overrated/self hyped fighter of the decade:deal

We will never know, but you also have to look at Floyd's work rate and Cotto loves that pace... Cotto's jab is also very underrated and his body work in those years would have giving anyone trouble. Floyd has great recovery, but has not face a lot of punchers and we have seen how Judah and Mosley caught his attention. An old Cotto putting the pressure just like Castillo would have been a great fight. We will just never know.

Clearly Mayweather is capable of out-boxing Cotto and virtually every other fighter who steps in the ring with him. I however am not convinced (and never have been) that his punch resistance could sustain if Cotto were to land his heavy leather. It's because of this question that I cannot pass this fight off as an easy win for Floyd.
