Huge let down of a fight. ****in McGregor and his taking the fight simply for money. Weak **** to not come in boxing shape. He won the rounds where he had gas in the tank.
Same with me. Not one single round did I watch. I even made sure not to watch any hi lights. Freaking joke of a fight.
I'm glad the UFC / MMA casuals blindly bought into Conor's hype about knocking Floyd out, willingly drank their own (and Conor's) Kool-Aid and bet lots of money on Conor to win: it just meant I was able to bet on Floyd as a 1/4 favourite at no risk whatsoever.
I was telling everyone that wanted to talk about the fight that Floyd was basically free money that night.
I made a lot of money on the fight like others in the thread but I felt afterwards the ref and those scoring the fight were terrible and imo clearly biased against Conor not wanting an 0-0 MMA fighter beating the top boxer of the last 10 years. Conor won at least 3 of the first 4 rounds but somehow 2 of the judges gave every round except the 1st to Mayweather with only judge Dave Morettis 87-83 scorecard being close to correct. While Conor was clearly fading he hadn't been knocked down or taken any huge damage from Floyd and in such a big fight the referee jumped in to soon not even giving him a standing 8 count.
I thought the stoppage was premature too, basically after the first time Floyd managed to rock Conor. Conor seemed to think so ("At least let him put me down"), even though he was running on empty and offering no real defence at the time. Now, if Mario Yamasaki had been the referee that night ... well, let's just say we wouldn't be talking about a premature soppage in that scenario. Given his reputation for very, very late stoppages, he probably would've just stood back and watched while Floyd teed off on a severely fatigued Conor for the entirety of the 10th round.
I was just re watching the Floyd versus McGregor fight and in the beginning of the 9 Mc throws a right hook to the body not sure if it landed low but it looked like it affects Money McGregor then ties up and it's broken up did he hurt him or was it low?
Yes, he caught floyd's liver with this right hand. ahahahhaha Just irony, dude. McConnor cant punch with his left hand, imagine how he punches with his right hand. I bet floyd could take McConnor's right hands all the 12 rounds long without any problem. If he complained, then he punched the nuts, that's for sure, I bet I punch harder than McConnor.
Sure you do. There is no clear angle to the punch. Body shots can be sneaky, and only Floyd knows if it was a legal blow or not. It's all about timing. And liver shots are a motherucker!
