10-10 and 10-8 scoring's should be used more liberally.

If a round is literally too close to call, that means it's even, call it a 10-10, I do it a lot on my scorecards.

If one guy is getting hammered badly and offering little to nothing in response, save for a few punches max, call it a 10-8, also if a guy is doing absolutely nothing and being cleanly outlanded by a good amount hurt or not.

    This would help bad decisions.

I agree, some rds are just too close to be given to one fighter or the other. Im in favour of 10-10 rds

i am glad you brought up such a thread as i have a lot of questions..

how do you score a guy who is winning the round badly then at the last 10 or 5 seconds he got caught with shot resulting into a KD(flash or not). Would it be a 10-8 in favor of the guy who scored the KD?

how do you score back to back KDs? is it a 10-10

and how do you score a round with the other guy being aggressive but not able to land anything, and the other guy being elusive, slick great defense but not throwing anything or perhaps just threw about 3 or 2 shots?

I agree. It's not the way i score fights because I know it's not the way they are being scored...but this system would be better, overall.

One thing, it makes a fix easier to persue. But you can't really account for that in a scoring system.

I agree to mate. not enough judges use the 10-10 option for a round, you very rarely see it/hear of it, and its dissapointing.

True there are close rounds in boxing. But that is not enough reason to score 10-10. A judge must decide who wins a round. What about a fight that is definitely close tit-for-tat in every round? I've never heard of any fight ending with a draw with the scores even 120-120 or 100-100. That's just plain stupid.

Round one of Calzaghe Hopkins was a 9-9 round.

I had a serious conversation with a guy yesterday, he was saying the same thing.

He also scored every other round to Joe. Perhaps I should introduce you?

    No.

I really am taking a point away from Calzaghe for being pushed down by Hopkins. It was a clever push after all, old school almost.

Does it matter, the judges are all 75 year old with shot eyesight innit? nah i agree 100% with ya, fresher judges wouldnt hurt also.
