What about the tossup round which often is the first round feelout round that really should be scored even but a judge decides to give to the champion or the A side of the promotion??? I see that just about every time where an opening round that was fought close but if you were to pick a winner should likely go to fighter B, 9 times out of 10 the round will be judged by most judges to have been won by the champion or sentimental favorite A side of the promotion fighter A. Many times the fights are so close that the feelout round actually is the decider of who the winner is which in most cases is the A side of the promotion. Then you have the cases where every round thats competitive going to the A side of the promotion because the judges feel like they dont have the option of scoring a round even. When a round is close enough, judges are going to score it for the A side, I'd rather they score it even than to score it 10-9 for the undeserving fighter. That way the fighter thats getting robbed is only getting robbed of one point where as if the judge scores it 10-9, you're robbing him of two points.
There were two close rounds. I considered making one a 10-10, but ultimately decided Usyk probably edged it. 8-4 Usyk
