When a fighter hits his opponent throughout the round from the start till the end but he can't send him to the canvas no matter how hard he tries so can the judge gives him 10-8 in that round?

I scored Leonard 10-8 when he hit Hearns throughout round 12 in their rematch. Hearns was stumbling and trying to hold Leonard a dear life.

Mayweather beat gatti from pillow to post in the 6 round of their fight. So I scored that 10-8

As I remember correctly, round 8 at Vitali vs Briggs and round 12 at Kovalev vs Hopkins were both scored 10-8 by all 3 judges even.

I tend not to score 10-8 unless there's a knock-down although I don't have a problem with anyone who does (and I'm sure I have on rare occasions myself).

Round 12 of Leonard v Hearns 2 could quite reasonably have been scored 10-8.

Same with round 9 of Pac v Horn although I scored that one 10-9.
