    Gennady Golovkin has been on a tear in the boxing world. He has had an impressive amateur record of 345-5, and won the Olympic Silver Medal at the Middleweight class at the 2004 Athens games. Known to have the hardest chins in the industry, Golovkin has never lost a fight and has never been knocked down. If you thought his defence was strong, his offense is even more fearsome. Golovkin hold the record for having the highest percentage of knockout victories at almost 91%. Most of what is known about Golovkin, there is still that is unknown.

    Below we look at some random facts about Golovkin.

    1. Gennady Golovkin can speak four languages; his native Kazakh, German, Russian, and a bit of English.

    2. He has had 350 amateur fights and possesses a record of 345-5, and 33 professional fights, Gennady Golovkin has never been knocked down or stopped.

    3. In his professional career, he has won 30 of his 33 fight by knockout. He has the highest KO ratio in the history of boxing at 90.9%.

    4. In 2013, readers of the Ring magazine named him the "Fighter of the Year."

    5. Gennady Golovkin trains in a gym atop a mountain in Big Bear, California. He has been coached by Abel Sanchez since 2012.

    6. Golovkin spent eight years living in Stuttgart, Germany from 2006 through 2014 but moved his family to Los Angeles to continue his training regimen effectively.

    7. Gennady Golovkin first used boxing gloves at the age of ten. He won several junior and senior level titles as an Amateur and went on to win the Silver medal in the 2004 Olympics games in Athens, Greece.

    8. Gennady Golovkin was born to a Russian father, who was a coal miner, and a Korean mother who was a lab assistant.

    9. Golovkin lost two older brothers in his preteen years. They served in the Russian Army.

    10. Gennady Golovkin has had 14 fights for various WBA titles which have lasted a combined 67 rounds. That is less than 5 rounds per fight.

    Don't be ridiculous. Alexander didn't win amateur World championship or Olympic silver.

    He has more than 5 losses. Somebody posted a record of his last 80 fights, one of his losses was to Andre Dirrell which he later avenged.
