Frazier McCallum Duran Chavez Basilio Armstrong Arguello Saldivar Olivares Fenech Something like that, maybe. No order.
I haven't seen a lot of prime footage of Zale (how much is there?). Never really captured my imagination.
"The first time he hit me to the body I didn't know whether to crap or throw-up" -- Billy Soose (on Tony Zale)
I'm obsessed with heavyweights so as far as heavyweights goes:- Smokin Joe Frazier Iron Mike Tyson Jack Dempsey Rocky Marciano Other weights Julio Cesar Chavez Ricky Hatton Jake Lamotta Henry Armstrong Bob Fitzsimmons Mickey Walker
Agreed. It's his ferocity to the body that gets overplayed (mainly by those who are mainly going by reputation rather than footage), but he was one of the most economical and consistent body punchers I've ever seen.
Nobody has mentioned Jim Jeffries yet. He knew how to throw a head punch, but used them very selectivley.
But the people who have seen most of his fights all unanimously agree that he's the best bodypuncher... I dont think that's a coincidence...
