The first Boxing After Dark main event was Barrera-McKinney in Feb 96. The Kevin Kelly-Alejandro Gonzalez fight was in Jan 95. I was such a big Kevin Kelly fan. I was so bummed when they stopped the fight after the 10th round.

Brilliant list, I think Taylor v Chavez was the best when you take everything into account..... the p4p thing... champ v champ... both unbeaten... pressure fighter v flashy boxer... the finish... the controversy... & lets not forget... what a really great action fight, it just seemed to get better as the rds flew by.

I thought Morales v McCullouch was a great fight & it would have made the list had Morales not won so decisively about 10-2 or 9-3.

OK this is fair enough I suppose. I should have probably put Jones-Hopkins under the faves bit as I've never really liked Hopkins, it wasn't a classic fight but to outpoint a younger Hopkins in that manner showed just how great a fighter peak Jones was. He did outclass him.

Was Eubank-Watson in 1990? A tragic classic right there

Yes that is correct, they were both awesome fights, Mexicans versus Americans, hence my confusion. Thanks.

For heavyweights, two of my favorite fights of the 90's are Ray Mercer vs. Bert Cooper (A motivated Cooper!) and Moorer/Cooper, of course.

    Amazing fights.
