Working on my list, now it looks:

    1. Ali - Frazier III
    2. Dempsey - Firpo
    3. Tyson - Douglas
    4. Holyfield - Bowe I
    5. Holmes - Norton
    6. Ali - Frazier I
    7. Bowe - Golota I or II can't decide
    8. Foreman - Lyle
    9. Marciano - Walcott I
    10. Frazier - Quarry

It's based on excitment, significance, heart and skills showed by both fighters.

I got about 10 more fights that could be included like Tua-Ike, Floyd-Ingo III, Liston-Williams I or II, Johnson-Ketchel, Louis-Conn etc.

What's your opinion? this is my demo list and try to improve it.

Hm, looks good. My fav hw is Frazier-Ali I by quite a bit. Patterson-Johannson II is also up there, as is Schmeling-Louis I. another great one is Bear-Schmeling. Holmes-Norton and Holmes-Shavers were pretty good too. Louis annhilation of Baer and Carnera were also awesome.

My favourite is the ten round victory for Johnson over Charles.

Good fights on that list. No room for Conn-Louis?

To tell you the truth I didn't saw full Louis-Conn yet. Saw highlights and read about it quite a lot. Have to work on that. I found YT link to Charles-Johnson fight and hope to see it soon. Charles is my top 5 p4p and top 15 HW and I love to watch HJ, recently I saw him banging with Marty Marshall

I think Foreman-Lyle is a bit low and skill to make the cut. Perhaps Bowe-Golota as well.

how could I forgot Lewis-Klitschko...I definitely would find place for that fight. Something like 6 round Hagler-Hearns at HW

You're probably right about skills in Foreman-lyle, but damn this was exciting. Two so HUGE punchers going wild.

But in Golota-Bowe actually I find so called skills. It was a mix of skills and dirty tricks. We never saw such skilled white, big fighter like Golota before. Jab, 1-2, speed, combos to the head and body he was amazing offensive talent. Bowe was past prime but showed a lot of toughness, power and good infighting

Personally, I think that one is too low on skill as well. Much rather have Holyfield-Bowe II and III in there.

Golota was very good, but Bowe looked a bit off. That was largely because of Golota, though, but still.

True, but look at it this way:

The best HW of the great 90's era in his last fight

Young, big and strong Vitali, who shows his heart after infamous Byrd fight

Later on Vitali is alongside his brother the best heavy of a generation with highest KO % ever

A exciting big gun brawl, controversial ending

Ali and Frazier were also a bit off in Manilla...it shouldn't be a criteria. Also Norton was supposed to be past it and then he gives Holmes hell. Holyfield-Tyson...

Bowe was for sure past it, no doubt. But I wouldn't say he was shot. He fought back brave and took one of the greatest beatings I ever saw at HW. He was rewarded a DQ victory, but it also took a lot from his health
