They still looked ****ing aces, though. Look at the combinations Ali landed in rounds 13 and 14 and then compare that to the end of Bowe-Golota. What was that, in rd 7 or 8?
That's why Manilla is #1 But you can't say that Ali and Frazier were at the very top of their game. Still they performed great and adding the full background, no other fights tops it.
I must add: "Holmes-Spoon" "Holmes-Cooney" "Tyson-Ruddock 1" "Lewis-V.K." "Liakhovich-Brewster" "Maskaev-Rahman 2" These heavyweight fights were real woody poppers as they unfolded...thumbsup MR.BILL:hat
Good fights Bill, but did those fights (aside Lewis-VK) are better than those fights mentioned before? Holmes-Cooney was big that days, though Tyson-Ruddock? Nah, but good fight to watch

It's pretty often mentioned on this forum. Of course, it has nothing in these terms on many of the other fights mentioned. What you can say is probably that this is the fight where Holy came off age as a top HW contender. You could perhaps say it was the beginning of his HW prime.
