Who was worst out of this bunch on this vid? Do you think any modern prospects will end up like any of these fighters?

I’d say Audley and Grant. Those two were hyped beyond belief.

Don't think the likes of Brock, Ibragimov and even Scuba Scott can be classified as busts.
Brock was a quite capable contender, who was just unfortunate he had to fight a prime Wlad for the belt. Ibragimov was even better, with the same issue as Brock had in his unification bout.
Scott always had the lack of punchingpower issue, and most expected him to get ran over by the top fighters because of that, so not many expected him to ever be a force at the weight. Also pretty sure the 1st round dive against his friend Wilder was because of his alledged gambling debts.

Audley, Bennett, Mitchell and Price were the real busts in this vid.

Rodriguez was more of a bumbasher with a punch that got exposed by journeymen.

    Price and Helenius.

Price was once seen as a potential rival to Wlad when he was running through the British domestic scene. Then he ran into Tiger Thopmson and we all know what happened after that.

Helenius had that great run of form KOing former Wlad victims in a more brutal fashion, and looked to be a real killer before Chisora exposed him. Injuries also curtailed his career, as well as poor management and inactivity.

Ultimate bust would be a HW hype job who ended up never getting in or sucked.

Sonny Bill Williams NSW Rugby Player, John Hopoate NSW Rugby player and Barry Hall AFL footballer first, second and third for Australia. All sucked big time, Hall never even made it past sparring FFS. :campeon:

David Haye. Said he would clean up the division and bring excitement back to heavyweight boxing. Said he would decapitate the Klitschkos and won the WBA title off Valuev in an absolute snoozer. Clowned by Wlad and then blamed his little toe.

Seth Mitchell has to be up there.

I rooted for him but he wasn’t cut out for it.

Agreed Brock and Ibragimov were solid contenders, with good, productive careers. Eye problems ended Brock's career, Iggy simply made enough money to say to hell with it.

Mitchell was just another failed football player experiment (putting him in with Arreola was moronic). Rodriguez was a Mexican heavyweight, and that never works out long term, even though David did have a productive career, he never made contender status.

I'd say Helenius, for a time he was "supposed" to be an heir apparent to Wladimir (After he dismantled Attila Levin and Sam Peter). Alot of the other guys were just simply contenders that didn't pan out.

I've seen Brock mentioned on here, Brock was really pretty good and even gave Wlad problems. No one remembers how Manny Steward was going nuts in the corner on Wlad during that fight? I think he'd have continued to give good accountings of himself if not for the eye injury and forced retirement. He wasn't a bust at all.

these guys are not busts... its the overhyping media and networks that really fail by making these fighters out to be more than their skills actually show
