How about Hopkins/Tarver?

Hopkins was a 3:1 underdog and was coming off of two defeats and he moved up in 2 weight classes to take on what was supposed to be the best LHW in the world. I thought that was pretty impressive.

 

Pavlik Vs. Taylor was a big upset, nobody was giving Pavlik a chance, but Pavlik knocked Taylor out. Not the biggest upset.

When Sanders beat Vlad it was not an upset to me, I had followed Corrie's career for many, many years and I knew how good he really was, Corrie had been training for months, preparing for Valoeuv, Vlad did not spar, did a lot of weight training and did not even know he was fighting Corrie until late. Vlad would have beaten him if he had prepared. Vlad has just come off a huge win over McCline when McCline was at his peak, so there was a huge let-down because his promoter Klaus Peter Kohl did not do as he had promised both Vitali ahd Vlad, that is, get the best fighters out there for them to fight. Corrie refused to give Vlad a rematch. The Brewster fight was because Vlad had been drugged. Dispite what the US Boxing Media would have you to believe, there was plenty of evidence of an outside influence in that fight, missing water bottle, video of unknown person in Vlad's dressing room without permission, missind ID, Odds for fight at last minute betting, not one, but two missing bottles of blood/urine, missing from hospital and lab, Vlad's lips turing blue, high blood sugar level, enough for a diatetic coma, zero concussion/ MRI. Vlad was out of it from the first round on. He had never ran out of gas except in the Purrity fight and that was in the 11th round early in his career. Vlad has never been knocked out, just the TKO's, there is a difference. It's a shame investigation was interfered with. Notice, Mark RATner announced his retirement right after that?
