I didn't mention Mosley til someone said to me Mosley over Donaire.... Are we all just naming fighters now
So now Inoue beat Jones?? Lol my point is you are comparing old shot fighters like Nonito with prime ggg well I brought up a shot fighter that Canelo beat who is greater than Nonito?? Got it?
I mentioned Mosley so who has the bigger win?? Canelo over old Mosley or Inoue over old Donaire?? Both Mosley and Donaire were shot , of Course Mosley is the bigger win, are you trying to say Donaire was prime when he faced Inoue??
Got it??... Ooh..yes I have nails lol Inoues win over Donaire is far ...far better than canelos over mosley Are you thick? 3 times I've said peak Donaire is better than peak GGG...not old Donaire..you spastic ****
GGG was far better at his peak than Donaire, there`s nothing GGG couldn`t do in the ring that Donaire could do.
No. Doanire was a physical specimen. Brilliant style wise against Boxer punchers too (which is rare). Donaire's win over rat face Darchiniyan is better than any of GGGs.
Dude you sound silly as hell, GGG has fought what 1 elite fighter ever in Canelo and has looked like crap vs the only somewhat decent comp he’s had, donaire is a 4-weight champ and dominated multiple divisions and multiple champs and actually won belts in the ring... GGG is overrated to the max because of entertaining style and to this day still refuses to fight an actual active champions in his or any division
This is a very interesting thread my 2 cents I don’t think Canelo is the best combination puncher although I’ve felt for the longest he’s been the best at countering with combos the more aggressive version of Marquez is an apt comparison. Second point I know he has the biggest section of meat riders since prime manny Pacquiao but prime filipino flash is >>>>>> over ggg Donarie actually tested himself vs legit comp and world champs multiple classes over, GGG’s only claim to fame is supposedly being this ducked fighter while never actually making offers or making concessions to try and make a fight GGG and his fan til this day are content with the idea that he can win a fight than him actually taking and winning the fight. mans lastly @George Crowcroft you sir sound like a complete idiot to say resumes don’t matter are you stupid... resume is ALL that matters who you fight shows your skills if 2 fights both have 40 fights and 1 guys has beaten 10-15 elite top level fighters and the other has beaten 2-3 elite fighters to say they are on the same level or the say the guy who only fought 3 quality fighters is better because he looked more dominate is damn ridiculous 1 win doesn’t make you great and that’s the problem with boxing as a whole now a days guys get 1 win or in a lot of cases don’t even get that they win a vacant belt don’t even beat a champion and start acting like they Floyd ****ing Mayweather or manny pacquiao,,, Unless your a prospect who you beat matters all that I think he can do it or he looks like it don’t mean **** this boxing you gotta actually prove it any style can beat any style if the levels are different
Please show me where I said résumé doesn't matter at all. I said so long as both have proven to be able to beat elite fighters, comparing résumé is completely different to comparing abilities in the ring. If you're comparing who's greater, then I agree. Résumé should be the first and last thing you look at. But I'm not comparing Inoue and Canelo in terms of greatness, I'm comparing them in the ring and who's better. Once you have shown you're elite, résumé means nothing in that discussion. Résumé doesn't win fights and whatnot. And what the **** are you rambling on about? They haven't had the same amount of fights, Inoue has had a third of fights Canelo has. And I'm not saying Inoue is better because he's looked more dominant. Actually, it's the opposite. He's looked more dominant because he's better.
Donaire was a monster in the lower weights. Golovkin was a monster during the time that he was at his physical peak. I'd say that P4P, Donaire was a harder puncher. And he was more explosive. Donaire's left hook was brutal and they came in fast. Golovkin's punches are heavy and thudding, but slow. Donaire is far more athletic than Golovkin. I'd rather face Golovkin than Donaire if they were the same size. Both would kill me, but I think it'd be more painful with Donaire.
Inoue hasn't had gift robberies. He's brutalized his opponents save for one when he fought with a broken hand. The Donaire fight was competitive, but not close. And Inoue fought with a broken eye socket from the 2nd round on. If you want to look at completely shot and old fighters, look at the Kovalev that Clenelo fought.
GGG didn't look like crap vs the only somewhat decent comp he had. He looked great against Willie Monroe and David Lemieux. He didn't look bad against Jacobs or Canelo, just not at the level he was hyped to, or not in the condition he looked vs Lemieux when he looked like a wrecking ball. But to your point, you can make the argument that Donaire is more accomplished or more skilled than GGG. But GGG is much stronger and has a much better chin than Donaire. The comparison wasn't between Prime Donaire vs Prime GGG, it was the Donaire who fought Inoue vs the GGG who fought Canelo. The question was who was tougher and harder to beat. The answer is clear - GGG who was undefeated and never down in his career was much tougher to beat at that time. Donaire already had 5 losses and had already been knocked out. Even though GGG may not have been the best version of himself when he fought Canelo, though he looked way better in the rematch despite being older, he was clearly closer to his Prime / Best than Donaire was when he fought Inoue. Donaire had a lot more milage on him than GGG did. He was older, had a much longer pro career, took more damage throughout his career, etc. So you can make the argument that overall Donaire is more accomplished than GGG, or in his Prime was better, but by the time he fought Inoue he was much further past his prime than GGG was when he fought Canelo.
