I know its out of the thread's point but I think years from now the Mayweather/DLH fight will be looked on as a great technical chess match.
Time will tell. I never thought much of RJJ-Hopkins when I first saw it (granted I was young) but now I look back at it in hindsight and see a tremendous performance by a hurt RJJ againt an amazing tactician. Almost a lil disappointed I never saw a rematch. Also if you like tacticians, Wilfred Benitez-Carlos Palomino would be a great fight to pick up. As to where you can get em...youtube if you wanna give em a test run. Other than that you'd probably have to ebay it.
How the **** is he going to get this on DVD when it isn't even on film? Anyway: Sugar Ray Robinson v Jake LaMotta VI. Sugar Ray at his absolute best, putting on a back-foot offence that may be unique in the annals of boxing. LaMotta, the opponent is hard-headed, game, and at the time was the only man to hold a win over Sugar. This is my favourite fight ever. Joe Louis v Jersey Joe Walcott II. Walcott outboxes a fading Louis for the second time until the incredible Louis rally. There is no better example of slickster v stalker, or great late power, anywhere. Thomas Hearns v Marvin Hagler. Just get it. Erik Morales v Carlos Hernandez. Morales at his absolute best, a game opponent, some of the most brilliant feints in modern boxing and an incredible last round. A lo-fi classic. Sonny Liston v Henry Clark. Proof positive that Liston was still lethal post-Ali. Clark is a cracking fighter with loads of heart. Seven fascinating rounds. Dwight Muhammad Qawi v Evander Hollyfield. A total war, and proof positive that Hollyfield's peak extended into his tenure as CW champ. This is a must have. Azumah Nelson v Jeff Fenech. One of the most beautiful displays of combined ringcraft and destructive punching. You can't go far wrong with this one. Archie Moore v Yvon Durelle. Just short of 45, Moore is dropped three times in the first round agains the murderous punching Durelle. 45! Unable to remember what followed, Moore only came back to himself in the 6th, having been down again in five. Boxes back. Stops his man in the 11th. Maybe the most extraordinary title fight of them all. Humberto Gonzalez v Micheal Carbajal. Carbajal claws his way back from the brink in this one. I wish one of these guys could have been matched with Lopez. A great, great, great fight. Ken Buchanan v Roberto Duran. Buchanan is underated in the general forum. I think he had one of the most beautiful lefts of all time. Don't let the somewhat unstatisfying ending put you off...this is Duran at his absolute best occasionally matched by the Scot for pure grit.
Buy a boxing magazine , the UK's boxing monthly mag has adverts to create your own dvd's from vast lists of fights , they also do career sets too.

Danny "Little Red" Lopez/Mike Ayala; ring magazine fight of the year for 1979, and strong contender for fight of the decade! Danny Lopez/Salvador Sanchez I; Watch Lopez/Ayala and then watch Lopez/Sanchez immediately afterward! You'll get a real good idea why so many people rate Sanchez so highly!
That fight was target practice for Sanchez's right hand. Clean right hands to the face, over and over and over again.
