If its the last thing I ever do, I will track down that f'ing fight.

Its Moby Dick to my Captain Ahab.

The other lost footage was referring to Grifo, I've read theres 'undiscovered' stuff around, which I took to mean 'filmed but lost'.

Yeah.. there'd have to something.. considering he fought Dixon, McAullife, Gans etc.. there'd be good reason to film him, even in the early 1900-1910 and later in life.

Even some pic's of him with Les Darcy would be interesting to see from when they met in NY.

I remember sitting in the stands at the MCG watching the '06 Comm games and wondering where the hell our aboriginal competitors were in the javelin.

Mumbled something to the misses about it, and she dug her elbow into my ribs nice and hard!

FFS, they've been throwing spears for 100's of bloody years - I wasn't just trying to be a smart *****!

There is no doubt that Darcy was a great.

Fulton was World Class, but he did come up a little short, probably the equivalent of the times weaker Alphabet holders. As a stand alone heavyweight fight, though, I wonder if it is as impressive as Farnan's win over Jackson, As Jackson's draw with Corbett and a few others. I tend to think that it is a little closer to Meehans performance against Brewster.

Still, Darcy should be a standout when we consider his performances in his own weight division. With results like the fulton result and many others, i wonder whether some people on this board might even rank him on par with "the Man"?

Mundine shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as the great man.

Mate.. Lionel, Griffo, Darcy.. try and split them for brilliance in adverse situations.

    Lionel's weight issues..

Darcy's hectic regimen as a mere kid of 18 thru 20....

Griffo's inability to take a single thing seriously.. yet the games most masterful genius of drunkeness and timing.

Couldn't agree more with Fammo or Carruthers getting limited publicity in the current scheme.. Both guys are total legends.
