Wlad has a china chin. Yes he has better skills but he would lose. Vitali has a near iron chin. He showed it against Lewis and Sanders. He took bombs from both and kept coming. He is much tougher than his brother and would thrash him ...

I think Holyfield had a bum shoulder in the Byrd fight, but I'm not sure if it was a rotator cuff injury. If he didn't, then there is a huge difference between the two. Anyway, the problem, is that we don't know exactly how bad the injuries were to each man. Vitali Klitschko had a lot of old injuries sustained in his former kickboxing career that never fully mended. We have no idea how much pain each fighter was in.

You can't just take a single fight in a 40 pro bout career and sum up the man's entire tenure as a fighter based on it. By this logic, Tyson's loss to Douglas would mean that he sucked.....And what about Liston's quit Job? You can't just apply certain standards where they seem to best suit a given agenda..

Wlad had enough trouble with Sanders, Brewster, Peter, and looked ordinary against Ibragimov. You can't be too sure about how he'd react to a man who excedes him in size, chin, and possibly even power. His boxing ability may be a bit better than his brothers, but I don't think that they are worlds apart.

I wouldn't write that off as being a forgone conclusion. Povetkin has yet to face a man with a serious punch. Of the 5 best men he's faced in Donald, Byrd, Chambers, Sykes and Estrada, none of them could bang, and nobody he's fought comes close to Vitali Klitschko in size. Povetkin's ability to take a shot from a truly hard puncher has yet to be seen. I will also ad that Povetkin's power and finishing abilities are still in question, and Vitali's chin is pretty well tested. Lastly, while much younger than Klitschko, still having only 17 pro bouts when pushing 30 years of age is usaully not a good thing..

Sonny Liston quit while getting the **** BEAT OUT OF HIM. No biggie. Oscar quit too vs Manny Pacman, he was getting the **** beat out of him. Liston had the greatest heavyweight who ever lived in front of him, and oscar had the p4p best fighter on earth in front of him.

now Vitali....He was WELL AHEAD ON THE CARDS....ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS SURVIVE!!! It wasnt like he was facing mike tyson in there, he was facing a harmless cruiserweight with no punch who was no danger to him. Vitali EASILY could have survived the last 2 rounds and won the fight and gained respect....But he chose to ruin his repuation. Thats not toughness. Vitali does not have anywhere near the toughness of his brother. Vitalis quit job vs chris bryd given the circumstances, was the worst quit job in boxing history.

    Here Maghoo:

"The doctors ordered an MRI on Evanders left shoulder following the chris byrd fight. The following day they explained there findings to Dr. Vaughns, who immediately passed the diagnosis on to evander and me. The pain Evander experienced in the first round of the fight, was as suspected, from an acute tear of the super spinatus tendon of the rotator cuff."- Jim Thomas Holyfield Way

Holyfield HAD a torn rotator cuff, same injury as vitali. Yet he chose to fight 11 rounds with it BEHIND ON THE CARDS! vitali could not fight 2 more rounds with it AHEAD on the cards.

Holyfield refused to quit while BEHIND ON the cards vs bryd, Vitali quit while AHEAD on the cards vs bryd. Pathetic!

Difference is Lewis was 37 years old, out of shape, and inactive. Sanders was 38 years old, overweight and inactive. Much different than against a live Prime version of Wladimir. Dont forget Vitali LOST the Lewis fight....all those punches he took opened a huge cut around his eye. Lewis ripped the **** out of vitalis face!

There is no way vitali would thrash Wlad. Vitali is so much worse in Wlad in almost every singe department, except chin.

I believe Jeff Lacy also suffered from a torn rotator cuff when he fought Vitali Tsypko.

I could be wrong but I remember reading an interview where Vitali said that if given the chance, he would have never done what he did against Byrd again, despite the injury.

I think this quote right here should shut the rest of the forum up. Vitali ADMITS he ****ed up. Why cant vitali fans just admit there hero ****ed up in that fight and move on with there day. They try to find 100 exuses to defend vital in that fight, but they should just man up and admit vitali really pussied out with the bacon on the line in that fight.

Wlad has NEVER quit on his stool, let alone in a fight he was winning
