10 oz gloves vs 8 oz gloves does it matter that much?

Hey Dan, I've heard some rumblings about Khan-Maidana being fought with 10 ounce gloves instead of 8 since they're fighting in Vegas. Can you clear this up?

They are fighting with 8-ounce gloves, according to the Nevada commission.

 

It is a huge difference.

 

:deal This is what I understood. If your a puncher especially it matters alot or Floyd wouldn't be demanding bigger gloves.

 

Why would you want to watch a pillow-fight?

If they fight bare knuckles, even better!

 

To Mayweather, it favors him using 10 oz gloves.

If he thinks he can do what Pac does, then why would he insists on 10 oz?

answer to yer query: It depends. both boxers negotiate on what type of gloves to use. if two parties agrees boxer A uses 8oz Reyes gloves and Boxer B uses 16oz, then so be it, as long as the boxing commission alsoi agrees

yeah i read that.

an insider on another forum was saying that khan was balking at using 8 oz, but now that insider isn't sure either, so i guess dan/nsac is right until further notice.
