Didn't see it, but as an old time boxing fan, I hate that ****. Couldn't watch the contender because of it. It looks totally fake. Ugh!

Jow about James J Braddock? had lost a **** load of fights, after beating Max Baer didn't defend for 2 years, got a portion of Joe Louis's purses, and a film made about him. You can't hold a break against a guy who struggled like he did to get there but still that's alot of mileage out of 1 win.

He had the confidence todays athletic fighters lack when they get in the ring with Hopkins. pascal could have beat him in the first fight but alot of fighters are more reluctant to try things against him than they are against other figthers, that wasn't one of Roy Jones problems

Didn't see it but boxing needs to make itself look more modern presentation wise so i can't see why something different would hurt

 

seems harsh on Holmes tko 6 though! Holmes could throw some serious leather and in his prime would have definetly got to Mike with his one two. in fact i think Holmes would have more chance against Mike than Wlad or Vitali. Wlad too tentative far too tentative to keep prime tyson off him. Vitali a lot slower than Holmes.

Only thing is dont think Holmes would have lots of power to stop tyson coming in. but he'd definetly have height and reach advantage to utilise his best weapons(piston like jab)
