1)Joe has superior foot movement with the consequence of being able to use the ring to his advantage. He is comfortable in the centre, at the ropes or in the corner, he will turn Hopkins inside out and Hopkins will be punching into thin air.

3)Hopkins straight right will be on of his done fall because he follows in with the head. “Dirty tactic I know;” but Calzaghe will pick him off once this happens.

2)Greater agility of Calzaghe to duck, bob, and weave from side to side manipulates his opponents into compromising positions were they are bombarded with a barrage of scoring hits.

    3) Calzaghe will stand toe to toe, at range or attack from either side and will even go straight up the middle to get to B Hop he will also tie Hopkins up on the inside when needed, his diversity is overwhelmingly way to good!

4)Calzaghes boxing skill alone is far more superior to B Hop.

5)Calzaghe will not come out all guns blazing as Hopkins expects, But will come at Hopkins from every angle imaginable by working off his jab. Joe will then lay some real heavy shots into B Hop. Just ask Jeff Lacy who had some real hard uppercuts and over hand lefts smashed in to his face. Then he will mix it up with some fast confusing combinations.

6)What a lot of people tend to forget is that B Hop has to quell the abrasiveness and work rate of Calzaghe and this is always so much harder to do. If your constantly defending what can you do? Joe does not slow as he has proved many times. When any body is being bombarded with repeated punches round after round work rate and punch output has everything to do with it.

7)Joe has the ability to manufacture punches from any angle out of nothing. Look at his previous fights.

8)B Hop can go on about who he has fought and who Calzaghe has not fought as much as he wants. One fact remains he has never been in the ring with an animal known as Joe Calzaghe. Stop living in the past I say.

9)How the hell can B Hop prepare a system to beat JC when he aint got a clue how Joe is going to approach the fight.

10)Joe Calzaghe is master class way above Hopkins by a long way. The only problem is that most Americans don’t know that yet. This is a shame because the doubters will be in for rude sharp awakening of their senses.

Calzaghe to stop Hopkins in the 9th or 10th.

    :happy

Hopkins has superior footwork. Do you mean Calzaghe has faster footwork?

You've got "2" and "3" in the wrong order...anyway, this is pretty delusional, given that Calzaghe struggled to do this against the less dangerous Bika.

Hopkins lateral movement is better. Calzaghe doens't utilise lateral movement NEARLY as much.

...you've written three again. Calzaghe is diverse. This is actually a good point. But he will use this diversity to stay firmly on the outside or at mid-range. He doesn't want to be inside for this fight.

This is to vague for me to respond properly.

I want Calzaghe to win but I never thought I'd see Hopkin's + amateur in the same sentence.

I agree with McGrain on this one, Calzaghe is not as great as some make him out to be. Hopkins never looked amateur in any of his fights, not even against a prime Jones, and he was unable to make Hopkins look bad, and far ahead of Calzaghe in talent and skill. Hopkins/Calzaghe will be alot closer than some may think.

Calzaghe posesses Hopkins' level of skill, plus a set of legendary physical attributes and is more versatille.

It almost certainly intimidated Jeff Lacy at their weigh in.

    1) This might be the worst attempt at legitimate boxing analysis that I've ever seen on this site.
    2) This might be the most poorly written analysis I've seen at this site.

I will only analyze one of your awful points:

You said: "9)How the hell can B Hop prepare a system to beat JC when he aint got a clue how Joe is going to approach the fight."

My response: Well genius, how will Calzaghe prepare a "system" when he doesn't have a clue how Hopkins will approach the fight?

i don't think hopkins is active enough over the course of a fight to beat Joe anymore. best for best no question in my mind hops wins but in this case i just don't think so.
