I stopped reading when I realized you were using Ali as the benchmark for "the greatest".

Its funny toughy82 that the only fighter you can compare floyd to is a heavyweight and who fought before he was even born. Just give Floyd his props, he may never be recognized by the haters as one of the greatest fighters of all time, but he damn sure is the greatest of his time,as I'm sure some boxer 30-40 yrs. from now will be the greatest in their time. He may not fight the way his detractors think that he should fight, he fights the way that he's supposed to fight, which gurantees his rightful place in history and in the hall of fame.

and another thing what's with all the bull **** talk about PBF being insecure, a whining kid, emotionally disturbed? If he's suffering from all of these things, and some things, thats said that i didn't even mention, what the hell does that say about his opponents that all loss bad to him?!? I never thought it would look so good having all of these negative qualities about yourself and be an unbeaten championship fighter! And here society tells us that we shouldn't whine, be selfish, be arrogant, get some help if you're emotionally disturbed and all that bull ****!! You know what, **** that! from this day on this world can kiss my natural black ass! You know what Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, PBF, and so many others have in common? When they all are gone, rather today or tomorrow, time will label them the best in their life at what they did, despite their so-called shortcomings! I really thank the haters of Floyd for giving me a new life and new spirit,no matter what I do from this point on, everybody that comes in contact with me will know that I'm the best at what I do! Thank You all!!!

Heavyweights are totally different. Also its easier to fight a guy 30 pounds heavier than you if they're out of shape and useless, like Mathis was! Mathis was coming off a loss to Jerry Quarry, who weighed less than 200 pounds!
By that logic David Haye is the greatest fighter of all time!

Yes Floyd can compare.he beat De La Hoya when Oscar was about 10-15 pounds heavier in the ring than him.And Oscar was good, unlike Mathis!
15 extra pounds at the that weight is like 40 pounds at heavyweight.
If you want to play the weight card, how about admitting that most of the fighters Ali fought were smaller than him!
Frazier,Norton,Cooper,Spinks etc were all smaller.Spinks was about 25 pounds LIGHTER than Ali,Bob Foster was 40 pounds lighter,Floyd Patterson was 30 pounds lighter. See how stupid the weight argument is at heavyweight???

Floyd could easily destroy some out of shape middle or supermiddleweight, who wasnt ranked in the top 20. What would that prove. You're asking that he fight the best middleweight,a, guy whos fought at 170. NOBODY else in the world expects him to fight Pavlik to cement his legacy.

Look, just because Ali had the nickname "the greatest" doesnt actually mean he was. He was probably top 10 of all time, but thats about it. He probably isnt even the greatest heavyweight of all time.

How about you wait until Floyd retires before you say he hasnt fought the best.
He fought the best at Super feather, he fought the best at lightweight, and fought the best at light welter. Hasnt gotten around to it yet at welter, but then again, hes not retired yet. He fighting Pac next, whos arguably no.1 at welter right now so relax.

Ill say it again,if Floyd beats pac, beats the Berto/Mosely winner, and beats Williams at 154. He can retire as a true ATG.Possibly top 5.

You're great Floyd, just not the greatest. Go out and clean up the division and we'll all have your back, promise.

Point taken........and yes, if he beats Pac, Mosely/Berto winner, then Williams. HE is THE MAN and can surely retire as one of the top 10 ATG IMO. He may be the most talented fighter ever, he just needs to prove himself at this weight.
