The comment about better footwork and strength had nothing to do with the PED thing. The PED comment was the one that said "obviously enhanced by steroids." Dope.

And It's funny how you believe that stuff about Holyfield answering the phone. How could they tell it was him? Had they met him before? Had the spoken to him before? There is no actual proof. Just like I give Lewis the benefit of the doubt, you should give to Holyfield.

If there was proof of PED use, where are the so called investigations that were supposed to happen 7 years ago. There is no proof and there is no investigation that's why.
The PED bull**** is the only thing people have to discredit Holyfield with and they use over and over again. Focus on what he did in the ring. At least Holyfield was never stopped twice in his prime by bums. At least Holyfield got up off the floor to win.

If placed in the top 10...

    1. Losing record against the best HWT available at that moment in Bowe even considering Lewis at that point... Avenging loss against Bowe and KFO Tyson and beating Ruiz which makes him a four time HWT Champ... Robbed against Valuev which would make him a five time Champ. Chump.

    2. Questions over the 'Evan Fields' affair(???)...

    3. Used a lot of dirty tactics - headbutts, low blows which helped a lot especially against Tyson ( Tyson was one of the dirtiest HWTs ever and one of the meanest, dangerous puncher, you fight his fight so... Tyson fan...)

    4. His career is going on too long and harming his legacy... His legacy is secure no matter what happens. Same happened with Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali and plenty of others.

    5. Robbed Lewis for a draw... He didn't steal anything but you can point your finger at the judges. Gave Lewis all he could handle considering all his opposition including Vitali.

    6. Got OWNED by jabs - Lewis, Moorer, Bowe, Holmes... And owned so many more with punching and boxing like Tyson ( 10th round), Foreman, Moorer 2nd time ( how many times he was down? Mercer who was knocked down for the first time. Lewis ate a lot of hard punches like the trademark left hook in the rematch too. We're talking about an excellent jabber to start with.

    7. Lost to John Ruiz... and Ruiz beat so many others.

    8. Almost knocked out by Bert Cooper ( who almost knocked out two time titlist Moorer)... Just like Lewis was knocked out by Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman, Tyson to Buster Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis, Danny Williams and Kevin McBride, Foreman to Ali, Ali to Holmes, Norton in the first round against Cooney and Shavers, against Foreman, Liston twice to Ali, Peterson to Ali and twice to Liston, Louis to Scmelling and Marciano, Walcott to Marciano, Charles to walcott... So do yourself a favout and STFU!

    9. His interviews....zzzzzzzz.... Your posts...

    10. Cruiser was never a strong division... LHWT Division was probably better but Michael Spinks didn't do it at HWT moving up, at least for long and losing in such a way against Tyson.

Let it go, Tyson already apologized live on Oprah so let it go...

Just saw the man himself on TV at the Heavyweight matches yesterday, he was in the crowd with his wife, sitting near where the marines were.

    Interesting thread.

You have to respect the fact that he is the ATG Cruiserweight, and also was one of the best heavyweights of his generation. Some even say he's the best of the 90s. P4P, he has good arguments.

However, let's focus just on heavyweight Holyfield. He is Top15 of all time, arguably Top10. But some people overrate him when they put him too high. Holyfield lost several fights and struggled in many others. For example, against old Holmes and old Foreman, and lost against Moorer FFS. He was never dominant at heavyweight.

I like his style. The man has guts. But doesn't deserve to be ranked at #7 or #8, just a bit lower.
