    It did good PPV numbers at that time so it was definitely anticipated. A lot of people thought Tito was going to knock Jones out.

    Again, not at all the way I remember it. The only people I remember being excited for the fight were RJJ fans and a handful of Tito fans who were hoping he'd turn back the clock. Tito had NO BUSINESS fighting at 175, ever, especially years removed from his prime.

    It was a CW of 170, but I get what You're saying as it was still at LHW, but Yeah I guess it was different over here on the west coast. I remember a lot of boxing fans being excited that fantasy matchup was finally happening after years of reading about the prospects of it taking place in sources like ring magazine, that most people didn't care they were past their best. 500K+ ppv buys was damn good.
