i take it the stories of his lack of training/sparring, the family/hanger-on interference etc are all bollocks then?

hamed did get beaten by a superior fighter but thats no reason to discredit him completely.

and lp, you could have found some youtube videos without those titles. what has naz's religion got to do with anything?

I was shocked that Naz lost to Barrera at the time as were most of us, even though you could see Naz eventually coming a cropper at some time but it was Barrera that was the suprise as he was a full on tear up merchant & tailer-made for Naz but this fight showed just what a superb boxer MAB actually was. It's more a case of MAB showcasing his up till then hidden boxing skills IMO. I always liked Naz & i just don't get the abuse such a brilliant & dynamic world champion like Naz gets on here.

Yeh it all went to his head & he became a right big headed little ****er but thats all fine & good as long as you're talking yer job seriously. Usual case of family/hangers on/back slappers having the usual effect & ultimatly hastening his decline. When you get yer gloves made all designer like & made from goat skin then yooz lost the plot.

I dont know if Naz at his best would have won but he would at least have had his moments in the fight. It was a one sided beating and even those who hate Naz know he could do better.Again Im not saying he would have won!

I was mad confident that MAB would win. Ever since I saw MAB at 122lbs I would tell anyone who would listen that Naz doesnt want any part of this guy. One MAB lost to Jones all my friends thought Hamed would stroll it. I think Hamed thought MAB was an easier fight than Morales and he believed MAB would walk onto one of his power shots.

For me Naz obviously had major training issues and had no respect for a ATG in Manny Steward trying to let him know that unless he brings his A game his in trouble.

Personally I think no version of Hamed beats that MAB just because even Naz at his very best had many flaws and that MAB is far too good not to capitlise on such flaws.

The worst thing is there was still plenty big fights for Naz but he lost interest.
