Berto would be beaten soundly and people would say he wasn't ready or is a hypejob (which he is). Chill out man, negativity is part of the bad thing about boxing at the moment. We all do it, but let's try and enjoy what we have. Pac-Margo will certainly be more entertaining than a guy who sits at basketball matches, pretending not to care about boxing whilst claiming to be the best.
Berto wouldn't even last as long as Cotto did. He's the definition of a B-fighter who's been coddled and protected. Just look at how Alexander took Urango apart at LWW and Berto couldn't dent him at WW. Margarito doesn't deserve the fight but is a more deserving opponent overall. But, if Margarito/Pac get the shot at the WBC title, I hope Rhodes/Warren sues the bollocks off them. The WBC are parasites.
disagree about berto and bradley. Pacquiao doesn't have a slick, quick black american fighter on his record. hes beats plenty of mexicans and come forward fighters. struggles agaisnt guys who are quick, have footwork and have a decent jab (marquez)
OK. So next we'll name a great year in boxing, say sometime in the early 80s, and we'll try and name 100 great things about that year. I see what you're trying to do but being unable to get to 100 great things does not prove anything, you wouldn't get there in any year.
but you see what i mean. its another type of fighter to add to his legacy. weve seen pacquiao beat up enough mexicans. the title is meaningless its a vacant paper title neither deserve to fight for.
Yep, I'd quite like to see Pac give it Berto but, on a wider note, you need to cheer the **** up Rob.....Pac-Mayweather isn't happening, neither is Haye-Klit but theres plenty of fights that are. Snap out if it and stop being negative, you're dragging yourself down over **** all.
Berto's not exactly slick. None of his opponents have ever struggled to find him so far. The best guy he's fought is Collazo who a few felt beat him. As for Bradley, while I'm a big fan and love his attitude, he's not slick either, but he's defensively superior to Berto. He'd make a good fight with Pac, but Pac is lightyears ahead of everyone BUT Mayweather. Anyway, it's not Pac's fault that there have been no black fighters of note in and around his weight class. It's not like there's been someone calling out for him that he's just ignored. He struggled against Morales, when he was basically a one-handed fighter, who beat him by coming forwards. And Pac is completely different from then to now. Marquez gave him problems because he was prepared to stand and punch with him and push him back. That's the key to beating Pac - push him onto the backfoot where his speed is less of a factor. The slick black fighter myth is just one of those casually racist things that's popped up on the GF.
