I think Archie Moore is too high, a great fighter but not quite that big of a puncher IMO. Liston and Tua should be higher. I would now add David Haye to that list as a Cruiserweight only! I think Haye does hit hard enough when he connects to make the top 100 for his old weight division. Foreman should switch places with Fitzsimmons. Its a pretty good list though.

I also think its criminal that Corrales didnt make the list. They put ****in Andy Ganigan on the list... but not Corrales? Horse****!

Corrales is the 2nd biggest puncher in the history of 130, behind only Arguello.

At 135 only DLH, and Rosario have been bigger punchers in the last 25 years.

Diego Corrales should definitely make the list.

Okay now, so what is the difference.....Greatest puncher....hardest puncher? Chico was one of the best punchers at 130 and Rosario was something else with his power.

Corrales was just a great puncher. Not only heavy handed, but had beautiful punching technique, and very quick delivery. He knew how to place his power punches, and was extremely accurate.

He was alot like Arguello, though obviously not nearly as good.

I'm also very surprised that Aaran Pryor isn't on the list.

I agree with the confusion in regards to Greatest vs Hardest. Still I think they tailored it to Hardest being that great fighters should knock a mother****er out. Essentially they did the usual "old fighters are always better" bull**** and gave great fighters higher spots than they warranted out of respect. I put Jackson in my top 10 Punchers of all time. Easily. Same with Tyson. Joe Frazier is way too low, same with Tua and too many to name. Basically, if you can knock a dude out just by looking at him you shouldn't be at 48. Chavez and Dempsey were good punchers but not one punch knockout artists typically. That's what the list should be about.

I thought the same initially but Aaron Pryor was a volume puncher but not a kayo artist per se. He wore people down with hundreds of punches but rarely sparked them.

You can probably achieve that if your on something. I have a dvd with one of his fights where he fought an ko artist in Johnson and I was shocked at what I saw. Pryor was getting hit with the kitchen sink and dropped hard and would jump up like a jack in the box. I believe SRL was commentating and he made remarks on how the hell anyone can get up that fast and be clowning around and smiling. I wish I knew how to post it, but I don't. It would make a very good thread on if he was on something or not. This was I believe before the Arguello fight. My opinion only, but that fight made me a believer that he was using something.

There was another fighter named Angel Vasquez that fought something like Chco and Tito. He was PR and fought out of CT. I believe he lost to Victor Polo. His problem was that when his game plan did not work and would throw the fight away with clowning. I really thought with a better trainer we would be talking about him today. He was a featherweight. He had a beautiful and accurate left hook. Too bad.

It's criminal that Julian Jackson isn't in the top 10.

I agree with most of what you said Chavez hit hardall 12 rounds but by far was not a one punch ko artist...unless it was a body blow. Tsyu could kill you with one shot...he broke Moro Mas' jaw with an uppercut.

I disagree on Hagler he was more powerful than Rosario.

I think its too hard to evaluate fairly...I think SUgar Ray Leonard hit very hard and could make the list

Xplosive is correct in saying some fighters due to nostalgia and hype are higher on the list than they should be...Julian Jackson and McClellan should be much higher maybe top ten.

As people have already mentioned, there's a huge bias towards fighters from previous generations. And I think that Ray Robinson is rated too highly. He did have some explosive knockouts during the course of his career, but there's no way he is one of the top 50 most devastating, powerful punchers of all time.

Pac should be ranked even higher. For iron chinned guys like Morales, Barrera, Marquez, DLH to succumed to Pac's power says something.

He may not be the hardest hitter but with the amount of punch he is able to land on his opponent (some are known for defense), he has to be one of the best ever punchers.

Even in that case, the list is very flawed.

Im not exactly sure what `best punchers` means to be honest.
    I understand `hardest` & `fastest` but WTF does `best` mean ?
