Sugar Ray Robinson was a devasting puncher, one of the hardest hitters in history. He knocked out Gene Fullmer, who had one of the best chins ever, with one punch, which is the only knockout of Fullmer's career.

you need to watch some more Sugar Ray Robinson videos,

,anyway as for the thread's title I think Benny Lynch should be in the top 50.

Pac should be ranked way higher than Trinidad. No doubt about that.

Pac kds great-chinned fighters who were naturally bigger than him. Morales, Barrera, Marquez. DLH was just a matter of time before he falls - good thing he quit.

Furthermore, Trinidad was caught red handed with illegal wraps.

If the question was "hardest puncher" then Bob Foster should be far higher than #17.

If the question was "best puncher" then Alexis Arguello should be far higher than #20.

These lists are always ridiculous. There is no way to ever have an accurate list. I agree with Roy's power at 160. I saw him fight in Reno in April of 1992 against Art Serwano. Scary power. I think what happened with Roy was when he got a little older he was fighting bigger guys, but also he didn't want to commit as much not to be hit as clean since he must have felt he was slowing down a little with added weight and age.

No chance. If it were a raw power list then perhaps, but as it is the guy is a poor finisher and cannot methodically set up a KO, which is pretty much a staple for a great puncher.

I think it's more that he was so notorious at that stage that most of his opponents spent the night running across the ring at Jones' every movement, and so he ended up winning a lot of boring decisions at 175 against opponents that he could have easily finished off if they'd come forward. Jones' didn't like taking the lead.

abraham is a very good call.
just take a look at a highlight reel of his KO's and try to find a more spectacular collection in recent time.

That list is from the ring special issue of "the greatest 100 punchers of all time" that came out some years ago.
