I wasn't aware body shots didn't count, this is not the amateurs. Canelo landed like 37 more power shots.

canelo is a great fighter and a good chin. but most importantly he is a cash cow for golden boy promotions and showtime. he is young and as he hones his skills I see him being a master one day like money and pacman.

he got his ass whipped last night by lara period. but with cash cow status all he has to do is be standing and breathing at the end of the fight and he wins. I have watched my last canelo fight since the outcome is already written on the judges cards.

Your point is valid. But the truth is about 70% of Canelos Power punches connected didn't hit anything but Laras arms

 

i didnt see those devastating body shots.

hooks mostly landed at the back/hip.

his shoe shining body shots mostly on lara's elbows. yes there were some who got through here and there but for the most part, they didnt.

compare this to loma's body punches, night and day.


this fight is funny as fukc. drainelo hitting nothing but air as he tried to land flush shots to lara's face. and his dome is getting snapped repeatedly over and over.

it's like a cartoon movie.

Canelo is a good fighter with an excellent chin but he has yet to achieve greatness. He got his ass whipped and he knows it. His excuse was that the man wouldn't stand there and let his big ass wale away at him. That's bull**** cause he was doing the same thing when he fought Trout. Yeah, he got some good body shot in there but they didn't make up for those head shots that he was taking. Oh, before I forget, Pac ain't no master either.
