No, and I've read some conflicting reports on it. Some feel Takayama clearly deserved it while some felt it was a justifiable decision. Worth noting, however, is that of the official judges the one foreigner (Thai) had it for Takayama while both Filipinos had it for Handig, a two point swing in the other direction...

    They are in North America.

That is a global network, I think on every continent.

    No Budler for me.

I'm not sure why so many people rated Takayama as number 1 anyway when he beat Rodrguez.

Sure Rodriguez beat the number 1 then in Joyi on an upset (Joyi was crushing but the heat got to him in an outdoor arena) but he had a journeyman record Joyi had already beat Takayama.

Also after Takayama beat Rodriguez, he lost hos previous fight to a 12-5 fighters.

That to me, is like Ward being KO'd by say, Peter Manfredo JR (then Manfredo moves to number 1 at 168). Then Saiko Bika coming off a defeat to say Derrick Findley for example, then beating Manfredo- and Bika is the number 1 at SMW. :huh

I think Budler has beaten Joyi, who outside of the fluke loss to Rodriguez was number 1 and hasn't been shifted since.

As long as he stops blowing saves for the Brewers I'm happy.

Don't forget that many felt Takayama had deserved the decision against Joyi. Can I ask if you're forgetting Joyi's loss to Loreto (who had beaten Porpramook a fight earlier)?

The "loss" to the 12-5 fighter, Handig, was relatively controversial from what I've heard (though as with IB I've not seen it).

Debatable between Hekkie and the winner of Takayama/Rodriguez...

Hekkie's win over Joyi gives him decent cushion at the top of the 105 rankings (Joyi took care of Takayama with relative ease).

    Takayama clearly lost to Joyi.

Any opinions I've read on the fight indicate a clear 116-112 sort of deal.

No, it doesn't work like that.

The winner of this fight should be considered the top fighter in that div. BUt, yes, Hekkie can make a decent argument and hopefully he can fight the winner.
