GGG landed good shot and commentators went nuts but he looked fine to me. After the shot landed GGG smelt blood and went for kill, while Canelo went matrix mode and dodged a load of punches then fired back with punches.

I thought the exact same thing. It was funny because Lampley was hoping for GGG to land ANY combo in order to explode. Earlier in the fight, Lampley and Kellerman were giving polar opposite views of what was playing out. Lampley is such a GGG fan boy that he must have had a hard time swallowing this pill. Its ok, he'll dick ride Lomanchenko for a year or so till he gets put in his place. Regarding the 10th, you're totally right, saw a bunch of punches thrown at Canelo that didn't land and the ones that did DIDNOT stun or wobble Canelo like they said.

The bitchfest is hilarious. I just watched the fight and this was the best Canelo I've seen.

Yes but Canelo is very defensively sound, he was hurt but not out of it so to speak.

Yes he was clearly hurt. When he spends the entire fight not taking a step back and not covering up at all until that moment when he was hit hard, clearly he was then hurt. Recovered so quickly though, amazing conditioning.

Yes he was hurt...badly. But all the body work that Canelo put in up to that point had GGG weakened and unable to take advantage of the situation. Had it happened within the first 3-4 rounds maybe there would have been a KO but not in the latter stages of the fight.

dont know what rd it was, but there was a point i saw his legs go stiff for a second from a hard shot to the jaw, most people probably didnt see it. the times the commentators thought canelo was hurt, he wasnt. but, i also saw ggg hurt from body shots a couple of times where i thought he was going to take a knee.

HBO wasn't the only broadcast team that thought Canelo was stunned in that round. Golovkin should have went downstairs if he wanted to capitalize on it. Canelo wasn't likely to counter him when he was in survival mode.

In that moment GGG missed his chance. He should have gone to the body a few times.

Good post. That's how I saw it...GGG was breathing more heavily than I've ever seen.
But then Canelo really surprised me with his stamina
I think GGG's next fight will be with absent Sanchez in his corner.

First time I agree with you Reg. That left hook to the body was there for Golovkin ESPECIALLY in the 10th.. Max was right when he said he didn't correct his mistakes. Canelo was using his head movement to evade when GGG landed that big shot. I get why GGG didn't go to the body when Canelo had stamina. Canelo would have caught him with counter uppercuts coming in but when you got a guy gassed and using headmovement to evade you have to go to the body. Makes me question GGG's boxing IQ.
