Jo Jo Dan (29-1,16 KO’s) gets a shot at what should be his in the first place after the schooling he had administrated to Aydin on his home soil for the WBC silver welterweight title. On November 19th the Canada-based Romanian returns to Turkey to face former foe and WBC number three ranked Selcuk Aydin (22-0, 17KO’s) in Trabzon.

“We took a look at economics; they turned down a very competitive offer to fight outside of Turkey, so it did not make sense to increase it,” said Ganescu. “It would have meant lowering Jo Jo’s share, so we decided it makes more sense to accept their offer. I believe Jo Jo will KO him this time no matter where we fight!”

Jo Jo has won 3 in a row since the first Aydin fight, beating the likes of Andrews Pablo Villafane, former “Contender” star Steve Forbes, and most recently Iwan Azore in July for the WBC’s Caribbean title in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad.

“Jo Jo is so improved compared to last year, plus I believe the pressure is on Aydin,” continued Ganescu. “Jo Jo beat him first time…Aydin has something to prove in front of his fans who he disappointed last time!”
Selcuk Aydin for his part, is a very talented fighter boasting a record of 22-0, winning
by knockout in his last two fights since the disputed victory over Jo Jo Dan. He is largely unknown to North American audiences, but is a big ticket seller in his native country.

“I don't think you will need the judges this time,” Dan said.

“He will not last the twelve rounds. Once I win the WBC Silver title, obviously I want the WBC Champion.

“But if not possible, I want any of the top names of the welterweight division.

“Let’s win this fight and hopefully doors will open for me.

On a second meeting with Aydin, Dan stated; “He is tailor made for me. It was my first fight at 147 and I respected him too much last time.

“This time I intend to take it to him and the result will be different.”

This video is from round1 only. Aydin was rewarded a KD after a punch behind the head, and was not penalized for a illegal elbow , and an attempt for a second illegal elbow.

 

Dan's confidence seems sky high.

 

How about the intentional elbow and the hit after break? No point deduction ?

I don't remember... I think he was suppose to fight Berto. But Berto fought Ortiz.

 

Non of them really have a real big fan base like Ortiz had(Mex+US), or non of them are really hyped as much as they should be for Floyd to even consider that. So I don't think so.
