11 years ago today: Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao vs. Richard John Hatton

I rememeber it was like yesterday. Amazing build up. I used to be a school teacher at the time and remember talking to a class full of kids about the fight

 

Hatton was never that great of a fighter he was very predictable and easy to time. His best weight was 140 where his physicality and power were better equipped. His best win was over a faded Kosta .

Who looked more dead than the other between Ricky Hatton and Paul Williams? Williams got KTFO by Martinez in the same round as Hatton got by Pacquiao. Hatton got a concussion because he fell to the floor with his face up while Williams went to the floor with his face down.

 

Another great performance from Pacquaio, where heading into the fight everyone and their mother thought he was biting off more than he could chew, and afterward everyone rolled their eyes and said 'of COURSE he won!'
