Winky's penultimate career match - and The Punisher himself would only have five more before a motorcycle accident eradicated the back end of his prime (and left him lucky to even be alive). Despite being a decade apart in age, both men last fought in the same calendar year: 2012 - three years after their encounter, when they were 30 and 40 respectively.

Not a thrilling battle or particularly controversial decision, but it was two very good boxers gracing the ring - one scraping together his final decent effort (the loss to Kid Chocolate was just embarrassing, and the return probably should've been rethought - and he was just past still world class in his loss to B-Hop a couple of years prior to Williams) and the other showing off that legendary work rate that could have netted him so many greater rewards than fate saw fit to cruelly deny him.

Paul Williams is the champ in life! And the people's champ too. Seen dude on TV man, God couldn't have created a nicer kid man. Humble, and grateful, and inspirational to anybody who follows his story!

Example 1: he says " why are y'all feeling sorry for me? Y'all have to stand up, I just have to sit here where it's comfortable!"...warrior!

Example 2: he feels so good when young kids and fans alike tell him how good he was. He even feels bad for letting them down! It wasn't his fault it was an accident!...epitome of a champion in and out of the ring!

Example 3: he's just happy to be alive. He says " why be depressed I would have 2 problems then" ... God bless his soul,

I wish Paul every great fight he gets a front row seat and show his face. He is a role model and an example to set, I wish he could do more public speaking. His attitude is awesome! God love him! He even beat margarito with the handwraps in!!!

Stand up champ! Even if it's with a wheelchair

Williams is a true hero of the sport. Really an unbreakable spirit in the face of misfortune that would crush lesser souls.

He also had a weird career. Very few people wanted to fight him, so he was bouncing around weight classes when he could still make 147. He fought Verno Philips at 154 and then Winky at 160. And he never got the fight that he wanted against Kelly Pavlik.

Going into this one you didn't need to be a super genius to see what was going to happen. Even though Winky had become more offense oriented in later years, Williams obviously threw waaay too many punches for Winky to keep up, especially because he defended by retreated being his guard.

Paul Williams. Great guy, very fit, but seriously, one of the most overrated boxers ever. Lamentably poor boxer given his standing and the level he fought at.

Mayweather nutswingers always find ways to diss anything Williams or Margarito did, its a way for them to make themselves fell better for
Mayweather going into his first retirement while it was Margarito and Williams at the top at 147 lbs.

You must be a Floyd Mayweather nutswinger!

He couldn’t possibly be one of the most overrated boxers ever ...because no one is calling him an all time great

Overrated? Maybe if you look at the tail end of end of his career it appeared as if he was slowing down a tad. I will admit, a lot of assumptions about his ability were based on his height and how he fought, but there's a reason he never got the "big" fights, he was seriously avoided in his prime. He had to fight the other guys that were avoided and he did well against them. There's a reason he was able to jump weight classes and still win - he was a tall, rangy southpaw with a high work rate that liked to go to war. He was a nightmare. If he were to get the big fights it would be a different conversation right now.

Wonder if Winky said "I won that fight!" at the end.

Williams has one of the most underrated wins beating Margarito who was likely packing. Dude that's crazy to call him useless

Williams was good. He's only overrated by Mayweather haters who think Floyd "ducked" him by fighting Hatton during that seven month period when Williams held the WBO belt.

If Paul Willams is overrated then I am overrated and I assure all of you that I am rated exactly where I should be rated.

Winky gets so much credit for beating the ghost of Trinidad who’s been inactive and washed up but he gets a pass for dominant losses like this when the circumstances aren’t much different.
