That's the scorecards from the fight in which Mayweather dismantled Cotto. 119-109, 118-110, 117-111 - the scoring from the Canelo fight. Anyone still of the opinion there was no scoring problem in that fight?
I agree. I had it 116 to 113 in Cotto and 116 to 112 in canelo both vs mayweather. I admit I was generous to both fighers.
Also when Canelo fought Floyd one judge had it 114-114. Also when Canelo fought Lara the scorecards were a joke. See the pattern here? All seems to involve canelo, hmmm strange.
Boxing is all about politics. The powers at be didn't want Cotto to win that fight at whatever cost. The judges didn't even watch the fight. Beyond that, it's too difficult to get a UD against Canelo. Not even Mayweather got one. He won by MD.
All scorecards in both fights were pretty fair, really. Yes Cotto made Mayweather uncomfortable, landed some good shots, and won probably 3 rounds, but it's hard to say he clearly won more than 4. And pretty similar situation tonight, but should be more obvious, because throughout the fight Canelo was landing the clearer, harder punches, and backing Cotto up with their force. For all the bad decisions we've seen in boxing, the bleating from thick-headed fans makes it apparent that we'd be much worse off if they were judging fights, even if promoters weren't paying their wages.
