Toney is not going to get to a level capable of beating Couture in 6 months and he probably realises this and takes it as an excuse not to train.

 

His pad and bag work look like ****... IMO Randy looks to be the better striker at this point in their careers..

Toney best mimic Chuck and find his range quickly. Can Toney learn enough in 9 months? Seriously? Brock, Gonzaga, Sylvia, Chuck all struggled and Toney ain't? Toney has the right idea but the fact he is still so fat raises questions for me.

He should have entered training camp looking how he is at the moment.

Idk what you're talking about man. We all know Toney is never going to be ripped in prime shape again, but they clearly show that he's learning how to defend against takedowns and escape on the ground. I'm not saying he'll win but he's clearly learning and applying it in training and not simply going in with two fists confiding in his boxing skills alone. People just love to bash Toney cuz his gut and mouth make it easy to hate on him when he's actually putting himself out there migrating to another combat sport.

 

Dude if Couture fights smart Toney wont have time to get off a proper punch combo. Randy will change his level and his head will be in Toney's midsection taking his legs out from underneath him there will be no punches or effective punches in that situation. Just go to Couture's last fight he easily took down a All American Wrestler and choked him out I wanna know what the hell Toney can learn in 9 months from some drill instructors.
