Weird, I watched this last night.

Fantastic fight, I remember watching it live, that was what made me a big Toney fan. I wasn't into boxing when he was a mid/super mid.

I watched this fight JUST last week, not even knowing its 11 year was coming up.

Toney was getting out worked some in the early rounds, but just kept at it. I felt so bad for Jirov by the end, he had nothing else in his bag expect pressure and throwing punches... but that was not working.

Great fight in retrospect Toney was probably roided up for the fight with how many times he was caught juicing after that its hard to know how much of his performance was from Stanzonal or bolderone both of which he was caught with or another substance.

    uummm, yes.

Take away their superior size and weight advantage and the Klitschos are simply mediocre B level fighters who would have lost to Michael Moorer and even Jirov. :yep

On "beyond the Glory" James Toney said himself that Jones beat him fair and square so why are you people making excuses him. A prime Jones Jr will always beat Toney and Hopkins even though both are more skilled than him. A prime Jones Jr's physical advantage is too great for most fighters to overcome, even for old school fighters like Hopkins and Toney.:hi:

Do you know Vitali is 0-2 against hall of famers? You're basically overestimating his capabilities with zero evidence to prove he is capable of defeating those Hall of fame fighters you just mentioned.

Ok I see. In your view the klitsckos are a tag team. So you're giving Vitali credit for a victory his brother had over Byrd :huh. By your standard Michael Spinks also have a victory over Muhammad Ali even though Michael never fought Ali. Vitali had two chances to beat a hall of famers and twice he came short. Give it up Forza, you've lost this argument.:-(
As for his fight against Lennox Lewis we saw what happened when Vitali fought someone of his own size. Lewis turned his face to meat grinder. Vitali have never beaten a hall of famer. none.

    Excellent fight.

More worthy of 2003's fight of the year than Gatti-Ward 3, which was a good fight but overrated and rather one-sided (just like the trilogy as a whole).

Not sure if Toney-Jirov deserved fight of the year though. Michael Gomez-Alex
    Arthur was a great fight.

One of the best fights I have seen live...reason why I watch the sport is because of fights like this one
