Today's Donaire vs the Pacquaio who won the 122 lb title in 2002, how do you see this fight?

donaire. he counters him bigtime. that version of pac was raw and was full of openings not to mention he was fearless at engaging.

Donaire by KO. Pac was still a diamond in the rough back then. Too wild and reckless.

It would be an interesting fight, Nonito Donaire when not looking for the knock out and just letting it come when it happens is a difficult fight for anyone see Donaire vs Darchinyan.

Donaires counter punching would gave Manny Pacquaio trouble I would think, but at times Donaire is open and with Pacquaios speed and power it would be interesting.

It is 2002 version of Pacquaio though, I think it was before he started being trained by Roach.

    Interedasting....

Either Donaire KOs Pacquiao with a left hook counter, or Donaire succumbs into the Destroyer's relentless assault.

Ten years ago Pac was nowhere near as good as he is now. Donaire at 122 is probably the finished product. It's not a very fair comparison.

Donaire wins at 122. At any higher weight I'd favour Pacquaio.

If I had to guess - Donaire by decision. His intelligence will be the difference. Keep in mind back then Pac was still crude. Today Donaire is a disciplined top P4P fighter.

pac likes to lunge himself when he does those 1-2. easily countered imo

that was the same version of Pacquiao who moved up in weight and destroyed Barrera (November 2003)

Roach was already training Pac in 2001.

Pac would be too explosive for Donaire.

Aaaaaaaannd they're back to overrating Nonito again

Need I remind that that's the same Pacquiao that raped Ledwaba and was on the verge of moving up to **** the great Marco Antonio Barrera, too?

He was raw and careless, yes, but with his power, size and speed, he'd have made things very uncomfortable for Nonito.

Pac would knock donaire out, donaire work rate or skill is not enough to keep pac off him.
