Gamboa lacks the IQ to handle Loma, although it would have been brilliant for a few rounds. I always loved Gamboa. Great fun, and still is. Really talented. But Loma is on another planet to 99.9% of Boxers.
I feel Gamboa never lived upto his true potential. One of those guys who have everything there to make a great fighter but just struggles to consistently tie it together. So Loma via corner stoppage.
So against Salido, Loma looked like an amateur and let Salido pretty much impose and dictate pace. Against Gamboa, other than a flash knock down was literally a crybaby during the fight. Gamboa even got a two points deduction in round 12 and still won comfortably. I think Gamboa wins.
After Salido, Loma was put on the ufc recycled format plan of fighting leftovers of leftovers. How are we supposed to determine peak off of that?
I think Loma will completely befuddle Gamboa. Gamboa is quick and powerful but he is not a master boxer. Gamboa Walter is a 50-50 fight. Not with lomachenko. As a matter of fact, I think Gamboa knocks out Rigo as well.
Leftovers? Gary Russell and Walters are hardly left overs. Maybe December 9th will convince you? But I've I feeling what ever he does it won't convince you. Gamboa? Honestly?
