Bud rehydrated 18 pounds in his last fight to 158. At welterweight, he will be 165+.

I honestly believe Loma will get better, even if he loses to Rigo. Scary thought.

I thought we were discussing the prime 126lb version of Gamboa not the Lightweight Gamboa of today. Clearly Gamboa is shot and would beat no one of note at this point. As for in his prime he was noticeably more explosive and punched with much more conviction than Loma. Loma's punching is a mixture of pity pat shots with unsuspecting power punches stirred in.

It would be a great fight but I doubt that fight happens anytime soon. Loma and Crawford are on two different tracks. Terry’s moving up to 147 Loma is at 130 about to fight Rig. I actually believe the Loma/Crawford fight will take place. If Loma can get past Rig, move up to 135....acclimate to that division and see how he handles the extra weight, the Crawford fight would make sense. Once these fighters get a little older they sometimes fill out a little more naturally. Loma only has 10 pro fights so fighting Crawford at this point is a bit premature. Maybe in a few years this super fight will be ripe and in scope? I hope it is because that would be a tremendous match up! Two very offensive minded fighters with two very different styles going head to head would make for an epic encounter

    Excellent mythical matchup.

Gamboa is damaged goods now so zero interest - but back in the day this fight would be HOT.

I feel that the only way you beat a true master boxer like Loma is to be an unpredictable wildcat with heaps of speed and power (Pac vs marquez I and II).

Loma ultimately times him up and breaks him down - probably for the KO - but first rounds are interesting.

A prime Gamboa would definitely give Loma a bit of a challenge for sure. I still would think Loma would beat that version based on not knowing how Gamboa beats guys on his level. When he steps up, could he handle the pressure? Unfortunately he never had that kind of fight in his prime because it was so short.

A few years ago this would have been a much closer fight. Now Gamboa can't make 126 and he's nowhere as good as he used to be. Loma by late TKO.

I don’t think Bud will rehydrate that much at 147. He’s probably at that point in his career where he’s more of a natural welterweight and will stay at 147 for a stretch. He may only pack on 10 lbs if that is his natural weight. Loma could possibly jump to 147 in a few years. He won’t be a natural welterweight but it’s possible that he could operate in the division at a high level due to his immense set of skills. Kind of like how Manny was able to make that leap even though he was no a real 147 pounder

    Gamboa would’ve killed Lomachenko.

Look at this alt following me around. Gamboa would’ve knocked him tf out. You little fanboys can’t stand reality. Linares barely put any meat on that punch and he’s nowhere near the puncher or handspeed of Gamboa.

P4p today doesn’t mean anything. Mickey Garcia deserves higher p4p praise and he would beat Lomachenko who you guys are hyping up. The funny thing is Linares isn’t even that good just like Salido. It goes to show just the small amount of size makes a huge difference for Lomachenko. Won’t work against Mickey. I’m pretty sure Juanma prime would’ve given Lomachenko fits.

This all just go to show that boxing is really watered down than ever before. You don’t have Pacquiao/Mayweather elites anymore.

haha just the fact that you've wrote that first sentence means you are bothered about Lomachenko being the best fighter on the planet! This is the Lomachenko era deal with it you clown.
