Gamboa was down against guys like Roger "Speedy" Gonzalez who is about 2 or 3 levels below a guy like Walters or GRJ. Gamboa would be in over his head against Loma, he'd eventually quit IMO.

He needs a hope who has a similar complexion to him. He cannot cope with the fact that an Eastern European guy is rated p4p #1. Before he spazzed out against Lomachenko he did the same against Golovkin.

 

I don't think he's the GOAT but he's clearly very very good which is something you seem to have a hard time accepting.

 

Gamboa would’ve been a better challenge than anyone around today. And it would have been a really fun fight. I still wouldn’t mind seeing it.
