Not much difference in height & reach but natural bulk & strength goes to Mayweather & it would tell + he is still faster despite the size thing. Depends what 130 version of Morales - the version that fought in the 2nd & 3rd Pac fights gets KOd.... the version that fought in the 1st Pac & Hernandez fights loses a UD. Now, that physically hurt me having to admit that **** so Im off for now. Botswana.
Mayweather wins, but he ain`t stopping Erik though. Floyd`s power was good at this weight, but it was hardly devastating and he always had them fragile hands to worry about. Floyd will likely just play it safe and look for a points win, especially once he realizes that his best punches will have no effect on Morales and he ain`t going to risk breaking one or both mitts on an iron chinned opponent when he can outbox him instead...
RB, like i said, i see it as 'unfortunate' (because we're all very fond of Erik, but i personally do see the stoppage. The man had a chin of granite in his prime but this is a natural super-feather who i feel has somewhat under-rated power and pop, and who was successful with some kos at higher weights (though nothin to marvel at admittedly). In honesty i do see the scenario that Erik's chin serves him well even if Mayweather pushes for a stoppage. But what i mean is i personally wouldnt put a wager on this one going the distance, i just wouldnt be sure enough at this stage of the great Morales' career.
I dunno man, the way I see it if Erik comes into the fight with the same mindset he did for the first Pacquiao fight I don`t think he would get knocked out bud. Your mindset is a very important thing going into a fight, and if Erik goes into the bout thinking "**** this guy and his bravado, I`ll show him whats what" I do picture him going all the way to the finish line even if he is to lose a lopsided decision in the process. His pride and indomitable will would see him through I think, although I will acknowledge that a stoppage is a possibility, albeit a remote one in my opinion.
I think we sort of agree a bit there RB, like i say, i see the possibility of both scenarios, but its basically because of Erik's BODY of work at the weight that i say this. BTW, if he comes to the ring like the first Pac fight, helll, that wont be a lopsided decision, Erik wins! Kidding, i dont think lopsided though, as that was more or less vintage Erik just at a higher weight.
By lopsided I mean I don`t think Erik wins more than three rounds, four at best in this fight. Remember Pacquiao and Mayweather are like night and day when it comes to their respective fighting styles, Erik can`t just come in the way he did on Pac against quick handed sharpshooter like Floyd was at the weight, he`d get picked apart brutally if he did that. Erik would have to box a lot more here, and then pick and choose his moments as to when to come in firing on all cylinders to try and impress the judges and maybe steal a round or two in the process.
Nar i know RB, was just messin around there, just was paying respect to Morales' indomitabble will in the first Pacquiao bout. He really cannot win the fight with Mayweather, especially with that intensity of that fight in my honest opinion, as that type of offense doesnt spell good things against Floyd, even with the level of quality it is brought alng with imo.
