Wow.....so by that estimation, we can start holding it against Pacquiao that he never beat Chris John at 126, since we know now that John beats JMM at that weight when Pacquiao could only get a draw. So Pacquiao vacated the division instead of facing the WBA champion because he was a threat.

 

I already said this was not Pacquiao's prime weight, and thus he would be at further disadvantage.

Interesting question. Not sure. 130 Corrales was a top 5 ranked fighter P4P. Castillo was a very good LW. 130 is not Pacquiao's prime weight at all. I tend to feel he is only very good at 130, not great like he was at 126 and 122 (where he was one of the best fighters to grace the division ever).

We know that 130 Mayweather would be an entirely different league than 130 JMM, MAB, or Morales, at least I bet you that is the consensus. Mayweather is considered the 1st or 2nd best fighter ever at 130 whereas those three aren't top 5 IMO.

if mayweather made an easy work out of diego corrales who is a taller and stronger than pac, imagine what he can do to him

pac lacks the fundamentals to beat floyd and he is already above his prime weight (his prime weight is around superbantam and feather) and add the fact that mayweather is a natural 130lber. he will not be able to deal with floyds slickness and i doubt if he'll be able to land a clean shot on him

 

Any version of Floyd beats any version of Pac. If you're not a big Pac fan and you pick Pac in this matchup, you should be ashamed of yourself. Everytime this matchup pops up, I point to the same three fights; Mayweather vs. Judah and Pac vs. Marquez I & II. No way you could watch those fights and tell me Pac wins this matchup. Pac would get beat rather easily.

 

The best at 130 IMO are..... PBF, Camacho, Arguello.....in not particular order.

If you talk about current PBF going down at 130lbs to fight pac! I would go for pac.. Now if you talk about PBF when he was fighting at 130lbs vs pac at 130lbs then I'll go for PBF.

Anyway, i admit pbf is good. but why is it he is not in anyway interested to fight cotto. Are you afraid to admit that he might lose to cotto?!

anyway this poll is just an opinion. It NEVER happened. Opinions that pac will lose in the past was not accurate.

Remember the poll when ask if pac will win against mab in their first fight. According to pacdbest, the opinion showed over 90% gave pac NO chance to win. But we all know what happened. LoL.

PacDbest didn't start watching boxing again until the MAB-Pacquiao I fight. He was not on ESB back in 2003. Also, because of the crash, there is no way to check ESB archives that far back (and I am not sure the search would go back that far anyways). So he wouldn't have a clue to what a poll back then said on this website. He is simply making things up and exaggerating things to make his own claims seem more fantastic.

And, if this is the logic you're using, ANY poll that was done claiming that Mayweather would lose has been wrong. And the poll in the past that claimed Pacquiao would lose to Morales was accurate.

We can certainly question an opinion. We can ask for valid evidence leading to that conclusion. We can not say that it's absolutely wrong, but we can certainly question it and the criteria by which you came to your opinion. And the likelyhood of it happening can be ascertained as well.
