I would actually pick Camacho because of his speed and southpaw stance would be too much to overcome. People, especially younger people,do not understand how FAST Camacho was in his prime and how elusive he was in his lateral movement.
However if this fight was to take place in Tony's era he would have a better chance vs Camacho because in his era you were allowed to do much more things that were considered "rough" and I do not think Camacho liked that.

It’s hard for me to pick Camacho against many truly great fighters. People might forget how fast he was, perhaps, but they’d also forget how carefully matched Camacho was for that period of his career. Think about it; aside from Cubanito Perez (whom he struggled with), he fought no “cagey” opponents until Rosario (for however cagey he was). They were all face-first types, a style that made him look great.

Canzi was the epitome of “cagey.” He did apparently have the habit of bullheadedly fighting his opponent’s fight at times, but it still generally worked for him. It would work here. This isn’t a dessicated Limon or a slow, plodding Ramirez we’re talking about. This is a different animal.

    Canzi UD.

    Great match up.

I have to echo @salsanchezfan thoughts here. Camacho would likely have an overall speed advantage compared to Canzoneri's opposition, but Canzi fought opposition who were fast and much cagier technicans compared to Macho - proven guys like Chocolate, McClarnin etc. You can see on film how difficult he is to read, especially his upper body, and how he's constantly setting tricks and traps. Also hard to pick against an ATG who is so ridiculously proven.

    Canzoneri decision.
