He really did. I scored it 116-113 myself in favor of Kotelnik. Maidana, however, proved he is worth watching. After a bit of polishing he will be ready to get the best of 140lb. And he shouldn't be asheamed in any way - Kotelnik is a hugely underrated fighter, who could have easily been 34-0 (almost like Dzinziruk) if he had had a benefit of a doubt in Both M'Baye and Witter fights.

Face it there's a bit of curse here.

When Pac was at 130 = There was Morales, Barrera and Marquez and some more prospects.

Pac jumped to 135 = 130 was automatically considered dull. And some prospects also followed him to 135.

When Pac was at 135 = The names of J.Diaz, D.Diaz, N. Campbell, J. Casamayor are all called out by the fans.

When Pac jumped to 147 = The 135 became a bit dull. Seriously it did.

When Pac was at 147 = more shines came to Cotto, Margarito, Mosley.

When Pac went to 140 = The 147 only consist of Cotto and Mosley and not many big fights are there unlike before.

Now Pac is at 140 = Hatton,Holt,Ortiz and some more prospects are being talked about more.

Not saying that Pac did all of it, Those boxers are superstars on their own already before Pac came. But wherever Pac is, it's the most talked about division. Don't you agree?

he hasn't fought anybody yet at 140..only scheduled to fight hatton. same at 135lbs, he only fought d.diaz, and not the top dogs there.

 

That's why it was talked about. When Manny was there.

Well what can we do, the line is too crowded and Manny's hands it too full. I'll see 1 or luckily 2 fights more after Hatton.

I would call it a curse rather than accomplishment.

 

ive noticed that also since his 126 lbs. days, since he shoot to prominence every division he belongs too became the hot division and the thing is, he is usually rated very high in those divisions.

 

You should add Marcos Maidana to the mix, he's one of the most exciting fighters at 140.

 

Yep. He lended more clear punches. But Maidana is ****ing machine. The guy has a lot of power.

 

Definitely the best division in boxing now in terms of POTENTIAL matchups.

WW is still the best for me though.

LW is also very interesting still.

I think some great fights COULD be made at BW and SW at the moment too.

Basically, boxing is pretty exciting for fans at the moment.

 

140 will be the division of top division soon..but as of right now, SMW will be the division.

WW is very empty now at this point. Cotto, Clottey, Berto and Mosley.

 

It's amazing what a year can do for a division. Last year 140 sucked now it's the best in the sport.
