I thought he was woeful, timing had completely gone, you could see in his eyes he knew he'd lost it.

As for the question, he'd be top dog. Someone mentioned Khan, i honestly think he'd knock him out fairly early, all wrong for Khan.

    What a load of bull****..

A prime Hatton would hammer any one of those guys on his day, your obviously basing your opinion on Ricky at the end of his career.

Watch some of his earlier fights the kid was a beast...

It seems many people base their opinion on the Pac fight

i honestly think he tears through the lot of them

to me i dont see one thing peterson does better then hatton, imo hes a slower version of ricky with sloppier footwork and without anything special about him

him and Matthysse would of been a proper war, would of loved to of seen that,
Rios would of been great as well,

dont get me wrong on any given night anything could happen but i think hatton beats them more then not
except for kahn..hatton stops him everytime,, hatton would be stuck to kahns chest for 12 rounds or as long as it lasted before he crumbled....weve seen how well kahn does on the backfoot and under pressure

if bradley came back down that could be interesting,, timothy always seems to find a way to win, very effective boxer, hes not the hardest to tag so youve gotta giv ricky a chance to get in the inside and rough him up to turn it into a brawl

    Hence the glass jaw comments

Ricky Hatton was a warrior in his prime I think he was only put down once in 40 fights before he met Floyd Mayweather.Glass Jaw I don't ****ing think so?

Mayweather completely outclassed him no shame in that, the same thing would happen to any one of the current 140 pound crop if they fought Floyd.

The Pac fight was a result of ballooning up in weight in between fights and underestimating his opponents power. That fight signaled the end if his career, the Senchenko fight isn't even worth mentioning.

Prime Ricky Hatton was a relentless animal that would not be denied.

THe thing is, Ricky was not just a crude slugger at his best, he did have an element or two of versatility, the first 5 rounds against Urango showed how he might cope with a stronger harder hitting opponent, of course all that clinching and "Rag Dolling" of opponents may of looked "ünprofessional" but i would wager that if you were on the other end of it, it was a powerful physiological Message-sender..he would not be dominated, and his footwork enabled him to ghost in and out by virtue of that "Scissor-Step'and cut the ring on runners - breather-seekers very quickly....When i saw Maidana get up from that wicked body shot of Kahn's..- at the bell .i applauded him, but had my doubts he would of dont so, or indeed recovered from a Hatton Special like the Castillo Shot, I think Ricky has good chances with all of them...he wasnt just a one dimensional Marauder

During his WBU reign of terror.
The division is a tougher place than it is when Ricky fought. Cotto and Witter were his biggest threats until Pac came up and Ricky fought neither.

Go on, gimme some names that Ricky beat who are better fighters than the current 140 lot?

    I'll start you off

He makes some damn good fights. Wins some, loses some, and gets tons of love from boxing fans on both sides of the Atlantic.

I'd favor Garcia and LMM over him fairly decisively. Slightly favor Rios in a FOTY candidate. It's 50/50 with Peterson and Alvarado, both also great action fights and I favor Hatton to take Judah and Khan.

Garcia scraped decisions against an OLLLLLDDDDD Morales who Willy Limond was making look stupid for a while. He scraped a decision over Ashley Theophane who got easily beat by Darren Hamilton and was being well beaten by Ben Murphy aswell. Lets not forget Khan made the kid look silly for 7 minutes of fighting and was caught by a monster dig, khans chin isn't ricky hattons chin. Hatton beats Garcia ALLDAY long.

Aside from Matthysse who COULD beat Hatton, nobody at 140 does right now. Ricky was beaten by FLOYD MAYWEATHER whilst in his prime... at 147. So what suggests anyone like Peterson, Alvarado, Rios, Garcia or anyone really beat him? This is an elite level fighter not Alvarado who was being schooled by PRESCOTT or Rios who got beaten by Abril or the aforementioned Alvarado.
